Welcome to , a new non-profit organization to educate, equip, and help coordinate human-life-and-freedom-lovers for effective response to many recent worldwide attacks on human life, religious freedom, and DEMOCRACY ITSELF in a “Creeping Totalitarianism” born of our Western democracies (in uneducated ignorance of The Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy, just because these foundations were laid so long ago no-one remembers) ignorantly eroding the traditional Western beliefs concerning the equal precious dignity of every human life without exception, without realizing these were the historical and logically necessary foundations of all Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms.
Countless millions of people in Western nations who still hold the traditional Western values all of our Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms were historically and logically built on (and need to last) have been made extremely uncomfortable by massive social and legal changes to Western societies over the last decades, changes which are happening with increasing frequency and with increasingly anti-democratic and “totalitarian” character, worse in some countries, states, and provinces (or other jurisdictions) than others, but all following the same worldwide trend of “Creeping Totalitarianism” undermining Human Rights and Democracy from their very foundations. In some Western jurisdictions many are already actually afraid to speak openly at work their traditional Western values which ground our whole free and democratic way of life, or else their jobs or funding can be threatened – especially in the medical, educational, and legal fields. Even government workers including elected representatives in some places are not free to speak or defend traditional, democracy-grounding values without negative consequences from “party whips” from political parties which have strayed far from the traditional Western values all political parties of “left” or “right” at least implicitly assumed at the formation of all our modern democracies. In a gross violation of genuine, healthy democracy, some such “whipped” elected representatives are NOT FREE even to speak or represent in government the views of their constituents who voted for them because they shared the voters’ traditional Western, democracy-grounding values.
In many jurisdictions for some time it has effectively become the case that citizens are only “free” to hold traditional Western values privately, in a home or perhaps in a church or synagogue, as long as those traditional Western values no longer influence public policy. But since, as demonstrated from undisputed historical (and scientific) facts and clear, sound logic in Human Rights and Freedoms Forever!’s educational resources like Democracy 101 & The Pledge of Allegiance to Democracy, all Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms depend ultimately on the traditional Western values they were built on and need to last, this means public policy is gradually becoming increasingly totalitarian in character, and now in more and more jurisdictions people are bullied into silence about their traditional (democracy-grounding) values and in some jurisdictions their children are now in greater or lesser degree forcefully indoctrinated in anti-traditional values at school, and, in at least one jurisdiction, if the once-democratic but now “Creeping Totalitarian” government (which has forgotten that democratic government is “of the people, by the people, for the people”) passes its latest proposed law, parents soon will no longer even be “free” to practice traditional values at home without living in fear about being reported by anyone for traditional childrearing which the radically anti-traditional government no longer considers “in the best interests of the child.” This madness is all based on politicians and the voters who vote for them both being too uneducated in the history and logic underlying Human Rights and Democracy itself to know how to make Democracy last, and Human Rights and Freedoms Forever! offers sound Human Rights education as the cure.
I have been giving lectures on the longer and more detailed treatise The Education Necessary to Preserve Democracy Now Under Attack on which my new book Democracy 101 & The Pledge of Allegiance to Democracy is based, and people who are so relieved to know just what is going on in the West and just what they can effectively DO about it have asked me to get this important educational content audio-recorded so that it can be more easily spread; people can get the Human Rights education they need to preserve their own freedom by listening to it in their cars, walking to the bus, lying in bed and so on. This (and other educational resources on this website) give the bad news and the good news about what is happening to the West: drawing from the lessons of history, it describes just how bad things really are – much worse than most imagine, history shows us democracy is under terrible threat and cannot last if current trends continue. But it also gives the good news: The real, practical things which human life-and-freedom-lovers can do about it – based on what Human Rights champions like the British Abolitionists did about it before, when legal Slavery similarly threatened genuine democracy (which depends on every human life being recognized as equally precious because Human Rights are for All Humans) – to help ensure Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms last for the long-term in the West.
So, I encourage the reader to read (or listen to) the Pledge (perhaps a few Intro sections or Pledge articles or pages a day) and then “take the Pledge” by starting to spread knowledge of it to others, until the electorate of voting citizens in each compromised democracy, once educated by it in just where Human Rights and Freedoms come from and what can ensure they last, convince their governments to end “Creeping Totalitarianism” and restore (and constitutionally enshrine) the lost underlying Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy which are clearly identified in the first five short Articles of the Pledge, so that Democracy can last forever on its firm traditional, historical, scientific and logical foundations!

Any concentrated attempt by these to discredit the plain conclusions of history, science, and logic presented here will simply reveal their ultimately totalitarian orientation, and make people ask, “why are they so determined to get out of simply admitting that killing humans is wrong because every human is EQUAL and PRECIOUS, as every totalitarian State also denies, when this recognition of equal Human Rights for All Humans is a necessary condition of genuine and lasting democracy?”

INTRO PART I
Definition (Part 1): A “Democracy Pledger” is someone who takes responsibility for Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms for everyone rather than taking them for granted; someone who bothers to learn where they come from so they can protect these rights and freedoms for future generations, rather than not even knowing where they come from and so not being vigilant to maintain their foundations, and thus being prone to ignorantly compromise Human Rights and undermine Democracy without even realizing it, which uneducated ignorance on a wide scale in both politicians and voters has brought on the current worldwide threat of “Creeping Totalitarianism” necessitating the educational Democracy 101 & The Pledge of Allegiance to Democracy to combat this uneducated ignorance. A “Democracy Pledger” reads the Pledge (Democracy 101) to learn Democracy’s historical and logical foundations and then spreads it to others who spread it to others, until there are enough EDUCATED citizens in their country (who no longer take Human Rights and Freedoms for granted) to ensure they last long-term.
A “Democracy Pledger” “takes the Pledge” by reading it and spreading it to others as part of a worldwide grassroots movement to make sure Human Rights and Freedoms last forever on their firm traditional, historical, scientific and logical foundations – until enough citizens in their country understand and stand up together in Solidarity for the constitutional enshrinement of the essential content of The Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy and The Core Principles of Lasting Democracy identified from history, science and logic in PLEDGE PART II and clearly articulated in PLEDGE PART I of Democracy 101 & the Pledge of Allegiance to Democracy.
Sadly, most Western democracies have forgotten the historical and logical foundations of all Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms because they were laid so very long ago (in the 4th Century), and, in their ignorance, have been unwittingly compromising and eroding them for decades, allowing what I call “Creeping Totalitarianism” to set in, gradually undermining Human Rights and Freedoms (and the tried-and-true traditional Western values they were built on and need to last) in supposedly democratic countries. The antidote to “Creeping Totalitarianism” is an educated, broad perspective on Western Civilization that keeps in view the changes and developments in Western thought and practice which gradually but logically as a “golden thread” throughout the tangled web of history gave us Western Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms – and an educated knowledge of just what in history had previously logically prevented Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms from forming and what in the past has taken them away from countries which once had them. This education is essential to the long maintenance of our Western democracies, and this Pledge of Allegiance to Democracy (Democracy 101) is a tool for quickly spreading this vital education so the West does not lose all it holds dear. Already too many Western nations are looking more and more like “DINOs” – “Democracies In Name Only” – with many citizens who still believe in the traditional Western values Human Rights and Democracy were built on (especially in certain professions) already afraid to speak openly at work the things that ensure lasting democracy, after decades of Western governments and government-regulated bodies enacting polices in uneducated ignorance of these vital facts. Newly proposed legislation where I live even has the serious potential (if passed and once fully implemented) to eventually make some citizens live in fear of being reported by anyone to authorities for practicing at home traditional values the government (which has completely forgotten Abraham Lincoln’s classic democratic definition of government “of the people, by the people, for the people”) no longer supports – reminiscent of Nazi Germany where people similarly lived in fear of being reported by anyone to authorities for holding traditional views no longer supported by the government.
Those well educated in history know this is not an exaggerated comparison. I used to teach the Nazi Holocaust in schools, and I was always struck by how gradual, by many small stages, the loss of democracy in 1930s Germany was. Chapter 4 of my manuscript treatise The Education Necessary to Preserve Democracy Now Under Attack describes how most Western democracies have unknowingly already gone through about seven or eight of the early stages of democratic decay they went through in 1930s Germany before the totalitarian Nazi takeover! The only reason today we are progressing through these similar stages more slowly is because our politicians uneducated in what the Pledge (Democracy 101) identifies from history and logic as the Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy are unwittingly dismantling their democracies probably by ignorance, while the Nazis dismantled the German democracy more quickly by evil design. But, whether by ignorance or by design we certainly are no longer grounded in Democracy’s historical and logical foundations, and thus (if more slowly than in Germany) we are still progressing (logically) through the same stages of democratic decay, and only a solid explicit education in the history, science, and logic that implicitly underlies and undergirds all Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms can stop this “Creeping Totalitarianism” which eventually overwhelmed 1930s Germany.
Please note that as a teacher and professor I use the words “uneducated” and “ignorant” not as insulting words. Everyone is “uneducated” in an area of knowledge until they have been educated in it. Everyone is “ignorant” of the things they have never learned. I too used to be just as “uneducated” and “ignorant.” So I intend to insult no-one when I make the charge of widespread ignorance of Democracy’s underlying firm foundations among Western politicians and voters, because I only know what I do about the development of Western thought and practice throughout history that gave us our rights and freedoms, which I lay out in the Pledge and the above-mentioned treatise, because I am a scholar, who was professor of a university course covering the First Millennium (during which time the foundations of all later Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms were laid); because I worked at two academic libraries with original documents dating back to the Middle Ages; and because in addition to my modest scholar’s library in print, I have at my fingertips a vast instantly searchable electronic scholar’s library database of currently over 4,400 scholarly reference works and scholarly monographs and journals; histories written from ancient to modern times; and hundreds of thousands of pages of primary historical documents from ancient to modern times, in English translation or in original languages with all the scholarly language tools needed to access them. Over the years as I have worked on various research projects on various topics (including my doctoral thesis which covers a 2000 year span of documents), I have always been fascinated with the many tangents off the topic I learn just by perusing primary historical documents, things which help me to “be there” with the authors and gain insight into how people of whichever time period I am reading from used to live, used to think, what they assumed and what motivated them.
I recently founded the new non-profit educational organization Human Rights and Freedoms Forever! specifically in order to educate people’s ignorance with what I have learned as a “lifelong learner” and sometime-professor, which most people do not know simply because they have not had the opportunity to learn. I must share what I have learned which is most pertinent to lasting Human Rights and Freedoms (and to the “Creeping Totalitarianism” now destroying them) that most people do not know; facts that should make all the difference to anyone of any intelligence who does not selfishly put their own political power or personal convenience or gain ahead of the long-term safety and freedom of all humanity.
My manuscript treatise The Education Necessary to Preserve Democracy Now Under Attack is a sustained scholar’s reflection (in a collection of insightful “pensées” or “thoughts”) “coalescing” a lifetime of learning from such top quality scholarly resources and a Ph.D.-level education (and a genius IQ to make the logical connections), identifying the “golden threads” of Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms as they actually (and logically) developed throughout history, and applying this vital knowledge to the current, urgent fact of “Creeping Totalitarianism” right now undermining genuine democracy all over the globe. In that treatise’s front matter I wrote a “Note to Scholars and Appeal for More Scholarly Work Using This Treatise’s Fruitful “Broad Perspective” on Western Civilization In the Service of the Continuation of Human Rights and Freedoms,” offering to other scholars the treatise’s broad vantage point or perspective keeping in view the whole development of Western Civilization which makes it so obvious that the recent (last 50 or so years) regression of Western society towards certain pre-4th Century values is a decidedly backwards step that can only take us back ultimately to the oppressive totalitarian governments of ancient times when these values first guided Western society (and has already made a good start on this regression in the several current uncomfortable compromises of democracy described below, which motivated the writing of the treatise). I was confident in the treatise (and now Democracy 101) because very many of the elements presented are not at all new – I believe part of what makes the argument already essentially compelling and unassailable, is that it is put together from mostly well-known (at least to scholars) and undisputed historical and scientific facts, logically connected. I have merely “connected the dots,” ignoring less pertinent and distracting facts and calling attention to the most pertinent facts, laying bare the “golden threads” that in logical development through history produced our modern Human Rights and Freedoms so they are now easily discernible within the great morass or tangled webs of historical details. I sought feedback from other scholars who supported me and one reviewer, a philosophy professor and sometime-Philosophy Chair, wrote that despite the defects of the Second Draft “I love the content of the book and especially your writing style. The individual sentence construction flows easily and is readily understandable. The topics are obviously important and your book is worth publishing.”
The urgency caused by the rapidly accelerating decay of democracy where I live, however, motivated me not to finish and publish the longer treatise The Education Necessary to Preserve Democracy Now Under Attack (yet) but instead to encapsulate its major conclusions in a shorter and more readily teachable form, still thorough enough to provide the “complete Human Rights education” necessary to protect Democracy from all the accelerating current attacks where I live and worldwide. The result is Democracy 101 & The Pledge of Allegiance to Democracy (soon to be revised and published – pre-order at the Democracy Store!), with its several supplements, most importantly the New Abolitionist Manifesto of Solidarity, which identifies from historical precedents applied to the current and building “Creeping Totalitarian” crisis what I call “The WINNING STRATEGY for the ‘Culture of Life’ to WIN the ‘Cultural War’ with the ‘Culture of Death,’ to Save Humanity Forever from ‘Creeping Totalitarianism.’ Like the treatise, Democracy 101 is in the form of a collection of insightful thoughts or “pensées” in a more or less logical progression, in the three major sections of this Introduction, the Pledge, and the Manifesto (older drafts of which are available to view on this website). Democracy 101 is a summary of many (not all) of the key facts and logic of Human Rights and Freedoms identified in the earlier (much longer) scholar’s reflective treatise, designed to be something anyone can read and learn and “make their own,” something that trains anyone to think about Human Rights and Freedoms in terms of their historical, scientific and logical “First Principles,” so that, once enough educated voting citizens think this way, uneducated electorates will no longer elect uneducated politicians who do not even believe in The Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy. There are two of these, which are clearly identified and maturely articulated in the first five Articles of the Pledge of Allegiance to Democracy, along with the Core Principles of Lasting Democracy (three of them) which are also clearly articulated by the end of PLEDGE PART I (the first seven Articles). If the 1930s Germans had been consciously aware of these “First Principles of Democracy,” they would never have democratically elected Adolf Hitler to lead their democracy in the first place – and would never have later voted him “emergency powers” that formally ended democracy – because they would have known ahead he was unqualified to lead a lasting democracy without these principles!
In response to the four (probably ignorant and unwitting but still major) assaults on human life and Human Rights, religious freedom, and democracy itself where I live in 2015 alone, I first published Draft 2 of The Pledge of Allegiance to Democracy on my website http://protecthumanrightsandfreedoms.ourchur.ch on March 11, 2016, though this draft (like this Introduction) only dealt with the third and most recent of the logically related “three wrong turns” I have clearly identified on Western Civilization’s path which have led directly to the current worldwide crisis of “Creeping Totalitarianism.” Since Draft 2.5 the Pledge has dealt with all three of the West’s “wrong turns” and has indicated the necessary corrections to ensure Human Rights and Democracy last forever on their firm foundations. That website has since become the official website of the new non-profit educational organization Human Rights and Freedoms Forever!, though this new NPO was still developing the essential “complete education” and “complete strategy” now in Democracy 101 & The Pledge of Allegiance to Democracy until March 2017, and so was not ready to start to promote “the education necessary to preserve democracy now under attack” in earnest until March 2017.
Sadly, by this time where I live there was a new assault on traditional (democracy-grounding) values, religious freedom and democracy instigated by a regional government that has totally forgotten the classic definition of democracy as government “of the people, by the people, for the people.” Instead, this government as a totalitarian-style “social engineer” is trying to force citizens to accept the government’s new radically anti-traditional values with no history in the culture by bypassing parents as the first educators of their own children. Regional government policies since 2015 have consistently indicated that this government believes, like in all totalitarian States, that children belong to the State to educate and instill values in as the government sees fit, regardless of loud and wide parental protests from those who believe in the traditional Western values our country was built on (and those who otherwise also object to the radical new government “sexual education” curriculum designed by a now-convicted pedophile child sexual abuser and child pornographer – a fact the government somehow claims is “irrelevant” and the government is enforcing use of this curriculum without any democratic mandate and against large protests anyway). But unfortunately, this government is not at all an “isolated case” of “Creeping Totalitarianism;” it is merely a more advanced case which shows more clearly where many, many jurisdictions all over the West have already been heading more slowly for quite some time (for example, many, many, Western countries/states/provinces already teach impressionable schoolchildren in public schools many of the same elements of the new, untried and untested and at best only “pseudo-scientific,” radically anti-traditional values with no history in the culture which this exceptionally totalitarian-oriented government is teaching – just without (yet) legally taking away parents’ rights to “opt out” their child from receiving this anti-scientific indoctrination, and without (yet) going after parents and pursuing legislation to take children away from parents whose TRADITIONAL (democracy-grounding) values are no longer considered “in the best interests of the child.” So, the need for Democracy 101 as the central tool of Human Rights and Freedoms Forever!’s work to ensure Democracy and equal Human Rights for All Humans last forever on their firm TRADITIONAL foundations is more urgent than ever!
Thus, it is a good thing that in a fitting approximate “first anniversary” of the date I first published an early draft of the Pledge on the Internet, in the formal public launch of Human Rights and Freedoms Forever! I gave a speech protesting six major assaults on Democracy since 2015 at a rally in front of my national government’s central government building on March 19, 2017. This date marks the historic beginning of a worldwide grassroots movement of citizens who (having read this Pledge) know where our Human Rights and Freedoms come from and who, concerned to ensure Democracy lasts for our grandchildren and beyond, “take the Pledge” by learning and spreading its “education necessary to preserve democracy now under attack,” so that “Human Rights for All Humans” and the logically following Democratic Freedoms for all humans can last in our compromised Western democracies which no longer even legally recognize any Inherent Human Right to Live.
The Inherent Human Right to Live – The Ground of All Other Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms
This is the very first of all Human Rights on which depend all other Human Rights including any right to Democracy which grants each equally precious human a democratic say and vote in his or her own governance. This foundational Human Right to Live was first legally recognized in 318 AD (in the 4th Century) with the criminalization of abortion and infanticide because human life was no longer seen as cheap but precious and Western governments were since then obligated to protect precious human lives who not long after this time were called persons to denote their precious human dignity. Humans / persons from their beginning in the womb were protected by law or custom since 318 AD in Western Civilization which from this starting point of the criminalization of abortion very gradually but logically developed modern Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms until the 20th Century when the first two modern nations to de-criminalize abortion were totalitarian Soviet Russia in 1920 and totalitarian Nazi Germany in 1934 – totalitarian States (that is, oppressive, total-control, belief-control States) threatening the lives and freedoms of citizens just like the ancient totalitarian States which similarly acknowledged a parental “right to choose” to raise or abort/kill their human babies. Our Western democracies in their (perhaps understandable) ignorance of Democracy’s historical and logical foundations (because they were laid so long ago) foolishly followed the Soviet and Nazi precedent typical of totalitarian States by similarly de-criminalizing abortion and thus logically eradicating the legally recognized Inherent Human Right to Live on which all Human Rights and Freedoms were historically and logically built, which means our Western governments no longer feel obligated to always protect and serve human lives – as is the case in any totalitarian State. Thus, our Western democracies have naturally and logically started to very gradually take on more and more of the characteristics of totalitarian States, with increasing compromises of Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms in a “Creeping Totalitarianism” in which some countries/ states/ provinces or other jurisdictions are more advanced than others in this gradual decay of Democracy from its foundations.
It is important to realize that generally speaking in the West, since 318 AD human life was protected from the womb by either law or custom because it was recognized that killing humans is wrong, until the oppressive Soviet and Nazi regimes first de-criminalized abortion in the 20th Century. It is true that antiquated science which mistakenly held for centuries that human life began at “the quickening,” which science now knows is only when the new unique human individual living biological organism (like YOU) who began at conception is big enough that his or her mother can feel him or her moving, did however mean that early term abortions might be tolerated or not pursued as crimes. But in these cases, the principle that killing humans is wrong still applied, and only antique and incorrect science, which for most of history knew nothing of microscopic sperm or ova or the new, unique living human embryos (with absolutely unique human DNA) formed by their joining, allowed the occasional killing of preborn humans. The 19th Century formal legal criminalizations of abortion before or after “the quickening,” were based on a more accurate Science of Human Life, and merely affirmed the long custom of protecting human life in the womb on the principle that killing humans is wrong, in or out of the womb, that had been normative since the original 318 AD criminalization of abortion BECAUSE human life then started to be recognized as precious not cheap thus governments are ALWAYS OBLIGATED TO PROTECT PRECIOUS HUMAN LIVES.
This brief purely factual understanding of the history of Human Rights (with many more such facts to follow) puts the whole “abortion debate” into an entirely different light: The “Pro-Choice” side of the abortion debate has only a few emotional appeals to a few sympathetic “hard cases” (like rape and others discussed in INTRO PART III) on its side, completely illogically extended to a general “abortion on demand” policy even without the “hard case” – merely emotional appeals which any intelligent person can see do not even register on the scales once one realizes that the “Pro-Choice” side of the abortion debate is literally the “Pro-Choice-to-Kill-Humans” side that does not believe killing humans is wrong but thinks the government can legislate human-killing just like in any totalitarian State, literally following the precedent of the evil totalitarian Soviet and Nazi governments who also did not believe killing humans is wrong and so were the first two national governments to de-criminalize human-killing by abortion (the Nazis also first decriminalizing human-killing by euthanasia). And these two governments whose precedent the “Free West” has foolishly followed in de-criminalizing the abortion-killing of preborn humans later committed the two biggest genocides of born humans in history – not surprisingly, since legal abortion had already established there was no legally recognized Inherent Human Right to Live in these countries.
New Terms to Clarify the Essence of the Central Dispute of Our Time: Where do you stand on the current Human Rights for All Humans debate? Do you believe in equal Human Rights for All Humans, or do you believe Human Rights can and should be denied to some humans? That is, are you “Pro-Human-Right-to-Live” or “Pro-Choice-to-Kill-Humans” ?
In order to clarify all future dialogue on human life issues in a way which keeps all the facts of the history of Human Rights and abortion in mind, I have clarified the essence of the “Pro-Life” versus “Pro-Choice” abortion debate by re-naming it the “Pro-Human-Right-to-Live” versus “Pro-Choice-to-Kill-Humans” abortion debate; or alternatively the Human Rights for All Humans debate, wherein “Pro-Lifers” believe in equal Human Rights for All Humans, but “Pro-Choicers” believe that Human Rights are NOT for all humans, but Human Rights can be denied to some humans (as “Pro-Choicers” deny equal Human Rights to young, preborn humans; as slave-owning bigots denied equal Human Rights to Black humans; as Nazi bigots denied equal Human Rights to Jewish and handicapped humans). There is no intellectually honest way for anyone to deny that these new terms clearly and accurately identify the core essence of the “Pro-Life”/”Pro-Choice” dispute: self-described “Pro-Life” citizens are essentially motivated by the core belief that every human has an Inherent Human Right to Live (which is the core of the now-clearly-identified Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy described in Articles 1-5 of the Pledge); and since Human Rights are for All Humans (or else they are meaningless, if being human is not enough to have them), therefore the abortion-killing of humans should be banned (as it was by law or custom since 318 AD). And no-one can honestly deny that the key defining factor that distinguishes self-described “Pro-Choice” citizens from “Pro-Life” or “Pro-Human-Right-to-Live” or Human Rights for All Humans citizens is that “Pro-Choice” citizens are instead indeed essentially “for” (Latin pro) the choice to kill young humans still in the womb by legal abortion (therefore logically denying the Inherent Human Right to Live which essentially defines the “Pro-Life” side, because “Pro-Choicers” do NOT believe in Human Rights for All Humans). “Pro-Choice” citizens by definition are essentially “for” the “choice” to kill preborn humans whose full biological, scientific humanity as unique living individual biological human organisms with absolutely unique human DNA utterly distinct from their parents at every age and stage of their human life-cycles from zygotes (fertilized eggs) to senior adults is not in dispute but is established scientific fact. By approving abortion and calling it “Choice,” “Pro-Choice” citizens are essentially “for” the “choice” to kill humans just like every one of us when the we were their age and still in the womb, logically meaning that if they and we could have been legally aborted, NONE OF US HAVE A LEGALLY RECOGNIZED INHERENT HUMAN RIGHT TO LIVE. I believe that these new terms “Pro-Human-Right-to-Live” versus “Pro-Choice-to-Kill-Humans” which definitively clarify the true core essence of the “Pro-Life” versus “Pro-Choice” abortion debate as the Human Rights for All Humans debate, should help resolve the conflict over abortion quickly because it takes away the “Pro-Choice” side’s ability to (with intellectual dishonesty) pretend that the “bottom line” of “Pro-Choice” philosophy is anything else. Anything else such as “reproductive rights” which only sound good until one realizes these logically can only exist instead of the Human Rights which they replace. IF “women rights” somehow go beyond the equal Human Rights to safety and so on which everyone else shares, and include a right to kill humans by abortion, THEN logically humans do NOT have any Inherent Human Right to Live after all. A woman with the legal “reproductive right” to kill her own human child, herself has no legally recognized Inherent Human Right to Live since her own mother could have legally killed her when she herself was in her own mother’s womb. But the Inherent Human Right to Live, as shown in Democracy 101 & The Pledge of Allegiance to Democracy, is the core of the historical and logical Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy. Terms like “reproductive rights” and “women’s rights” are merely insubstantial “smoke and mirrors,” NOT legitimate terms to define the abortion debate, since they are calculated to distract attention from the much higher priority issue of genuine Human Rights which are obviously violated by legal abortion.
Since abortion is still legal only because the majority of Western citizens are not actually ardently either “Pro-Life” or “Pro-Choice,” but “in the middle” (usually leaning in one direction or the other but without serious political commitment to either changing or keeping the legal abortion status quo), I hope that these clarifying new terms of “Pro-Human-Right-to-Live” versus “Pro-Choice-to-Kill-Humans,” which no-one can reasonably deny capture the core essence of the abortion dispute, will assist the “majority somewhere in the middle” to actually realize just what they are and are not supporting by their relative uninvolvement and inaction one way or the other in the abortion dispute, and I hope these new terms will motivate them to become educated enough to take the side of equal Human Rights for All Humans which is the only side that supports the Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy so that they can last forever. Because without recognizing this, we are literally losing our democracies to “Creeping Totalitarianism” as described in the next section.
Unfortunately, in completely uneducated ignorance of the facts and logic underlying all Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms (and ignorance of the Science of Human Life), deceived by poor arguments usually based mainly on emotional appeals to exceptional sympathetic hard cases illogically extended into common policies, most Western democracies starting decades ago have followed the totalitarian Soviet and Nazi precedent of de-criminalizing the abortion-killing of young humans (at the time decades ago, the pro-abortion side claiming a fetal-age human was just “a tissue blob” of the mother, which the current rich scientific and medical data on the early stages of the human life-cycle completely refutes, meaning the current legal abortion of humans is based on grossly outdated science). And in the meantime, the lack of any legally recognized Inherent Human Right to Live because abortion-killing of humans is legal has slowly degraded the whole fabric of our democracies over the last decades, and we are now paying the terrible price in increasingly overt “Creeping Totalitarianism,” more advanced in some jurisdictions than others.
Some jurisdictions have already, like the Nazis, de-criminalized human-killing euthanasia too, further violating the 2500-year Hippocratic Medical Tradition that doctors do not kill patients by either abortion or euthanasia (medical colleges under political pressure to provide now-legal abortion (or euthanasia) have abandoned the Hippocratic tradition even though the traditional Hippocratic Oath is the traditional basis of doctor/patient trust. Can you trust doctors who kill, or governments which allow or pressure them to kill, in violation of the most ancient and defining code of the medical profession, which 2500 years ago explicitly prohibited abortion? And note that legal euthanasia insidiously re-introduces the government-sanctioned killing of born humans as well as preborn humans, meaning these governments no longer consider themselves obligated to always protect precious human lives, but the government decides which humans can be killed like in any totalitarian State). Some jurisdictions have already, either by formal policies or informal bullying threatening their jobs, effectively taken away the democratic freedom of conscience and freedom of speech from traditional non-killing “Hippocratic” doctors and other medical professionals and others who object to killing those humans who are no longer protected by government law thanks to de-criminalized abortion and euthanasia – meaning democratic freedoms (including the freedom to NOT kill humans) are being taken away precisely from those medical professionals (who are supposed to be dedicated healers, not killers) who believe in and would stand for the foundations of Democracy by protecting human lives, in accordance with the 2500-year Hippocratic Medical Tradition. Some jurisdictions have already implemented totalitarian-style-belief-control in the form of State-controlled “public education” that indoctrinates children in anti-traditional values which actually encourage the degradation of human life by creating a DEMAND for the legal abortion which logically cancels out any legally recognized Inherent Human Right to Live. Some jurisdictions are already refusing (or threatening to refuse) to licence non-medical professionals like teachers and lawyers also, if they were trained in universities which specifically uphold traditional Western – and ultimately democracy-grounding – values (note this author lives in a jurisdiction which has done all of these things, though many jurisdictions worldwide have done some of these things, or to some degree. And, in the total opposite of classic democratic government “of the people, by the people, for the people,” not content merely to trample the rights of parents to train their own children in traditional (democracy-grounding) moral values by forcefully imposing mandatory radically anti-traditional State-set education on their children at school, recently my jurisdiction introduced proposed legislation which, if passed, has the potential (when fully implemented) to make parents live in fear of being reported to the authorities and having their children taken away if they are not raising their children according to the new radically anti-traditional values with no history in the culture which the government is now seeking to impose on parents totalitarian-style, but instead want to raise their children according to traditional (democracy-grounding) values the State government no longer supports). Like any structure, Democracy cannot last without its foundations, and this ever-worsening “Creeping Totalitarianism” where this author lives (paralleled in many jurisdictions worldwide, even if moving at a slower pace) motivated the writing of this Pledge of Allegiance to Democracy (and the Antidote to Any Degree of “Creeping Totalitarianism”) and motivated the prior writing of the in-depth reflective treatise The Education Necessary to Preserve Democracy Now Under Attack: Pensées on Human Life and Freedom on which the Pledge is based (like this Pledge, this treatise is still being developed in consultation with other scholars but an early draft of the first 4 of 9 chapters are available to view on the above website).
The “Free West” Followed the Precedent of Totalitarian States and is Logically Becoming More Totalitarian
It really is astonishing that starting in the 1960s and 70s, the Free West adopted the totalitarian Soviet and Nazi policy of de-criminalizing the abortion of preborn humans (which preceded the two biggest genocides of born humans in history by these two governments) even though in 1948 the Nuremberg Trials condemned the Nazis for legal abortion they encouraged mothers to ask for, as “a crime against humanity;” the Declaration of Geneva committed doctors to “the utmost respect for human life, from the time of conception;” and the newly-formed United Nations’ Universal Declaration of Human Rights clearly declared Human Rights were for all humans “without distinction of any kind” because “recognition of the inherent dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family is the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world” – all these 1948 events specifically intending to make sure anything like the Nazi degradation of humanity never happened again. It is truly astonishing that the Free West after taking such excellent steps to ensure the Nazi perspective on the value of human life never threatened Democracy again then later turned about-face and adopted the totalitarian policies on human life issues (like de-criminalized abortion and euthanasia) that the Nazis would have imposed forcefully on the West if Germany had won World War II. But it is no surprise at all, but merely a simple logical progression, that following the totalitarian Soviet and Nazi precedent of de-criminalizing abortion is of course gradually undermining Democracy with a “Creeping Totalitarianism” since the free West adopted the totalitarian approach to human life as NOT inherently precious just for being human and NOT worth protecting in the womb. In any country in which it is not a given that Human Rights are for all humans and that every human life has EQUAL human value and equal humans rights, but instead these principles are considered matters of “opinion” and “politics,” as in Europe before World War II concerning Jewish humans (and handicapped humans) and all over the West today concerning preborn humans (and handicapped humans), that country has already lost its democratic soul and its democracy is already under serious threat, slowly losing its democracy by many small stages just as Germany and Europe did when it was considered a matter of “opinion” and “politics” whether Jewish humans (and handicapped humans) had equal human value and equal Human Rights with other humans.
“Those who do not learn the lessons of history are doomed to repeat its mistakes” and “the price of freedom is eternal vigilance.” Our Western democracies have not learned from history where Human Rights and Freedoms come from (and what takes them away) and have not been vigilant in maintaining the foundational principles implicitly underlying them. Education is key to preserve Democracy and thus the following Pledge of Allegiance to Democracy (supplemented below with The New Abolitionist Manifesto of Solidarity, which includes “The Winning Strategy for ‘The Culture of Life’ to WIN the ‘Cultural War’ with ‘The Culture of Death,’ to Save Humanity Forever from ‘Creeping Totalitarianism.’ ”), is here offered as a tool in the preservation of Democracy and “Human Rights for All Humans” that both teaches the historic foundational principles that made Democracy possible in the first place and which Democracy needs to last and helps mobilize freedom-lovers to stand together in Solidarity behind it. Remember that no anti-democratic forces ever looked stronger than the totalitarian Communist Soviet Union, but the Solidarity movement starting in Poland undermined anti-democratic hardline Communist Totalitarianism in the Soviet/Eastern Bloc countries so that democracy could flourish where it had been compromised and extinguished, and Solidarity behind this Pledge can similarly restore Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms where they have been compromised by anti-democratic “Creeping Totalitarianism.” I envision The Pledge of Allegiance to Democracy PART I: The Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy and The Core Principles of Lasting Democracy being made into large (abridged as necessary) posters for walls and the entire Pledge being made into pamphlets/ booklets for tables in homes and in any public places which refuse to be bullied into silence by the current “Pro-Choice-To-Kill-Humans”/anti-democratic/”Creeping Totalitarian” trends and forces operating in most Western countries, but wish instead to FREELY express their desire for Human Rights and Democracy to continue long-term, so that they can continue because people read, learn, and get behind this Pledge as “Democracy Pledgers” (to produce such materials in your country contact firstname.lastname@example.org for copyright permission and the latest draft, and authorized materials will be advertised on the online Democracy Store). When a “critical mass” of people in any compromised Western democracy have read and taken (by spreading) this Pledge of Allegiance to Democracy, Human Rights and Democracy are guaranteed to continue in that country. I encourage people who are concerned about where our Western democracies are headed to read this Pledge at least once to learn and understand where our Human Rights and Freedoms come from, and then, having been educated, read (or skim over) it again “meaning it,” as a Pledge to support and spread the traditional principles now so compromised which Democracy needs to last (or read it again with some of your family and friends so they too can get this vital education and “take the Pledge” just by spreading it to it to others.

INTRO PART II [First Draft]
Lasting Democracy Needs YOU to Be Part of the Solution (of Education), Not Part of the Problem (of Ignorance) [New First Draft Section]
I cannot stress enough that readers who want Human Rights for all humans not just some humans and who want Democracy to last long-term need to be part of the solution, not part of the problem of widespread ignorance of what Democracy is built on and needs to last. “Creeping Totalitarianism” is driven by ignorance of where Human Rights and Freedoms historically and logically come from, and the age-discrimination of abortion just as much as the past race-discrimination of slavery, like all bigotry, is rooted in ignorance. Education is always the solution to ignorance. A strong scientific as well as a historical and logical education together forms “the education necessary to preserve democracy now under attack.” If today’s rich scientific and medical data on the prenatal stages of human life had been available in the late 1960s and early 1970s when our democracies started ignorantly following Soviet and Nazi precedent by de-criminalizing abortion, it would have been inconceivable that abortion-killing of these young human lives would have been legalized at that time. So why should human-life-degrading abortion laws still be in force, still eliminating the legally recognized Inherent Human Right to Live which is the ground of Democracy, when these antiquated laws are based on antiquated science, passed back when the pro-abortion side was in gross scientific ignorance claiming that a fetal-age human was just a “tissue blob” of the mother, when the Science of Biology in fact confirms beyond dispute that any human life is the same unique living individual biological human organism with absolutely unique human DNA utterly distinct from his or her parents at every age and stage of his or her human life-cycle from zygote (fertilized egg) to senior adult, and regardless of any disorder or disability (genetic or acquired) they suffer, and thus there is no scientific justification to deny legal human personhood or Human Rights to nor to legally allow the abortion-killing or euthanasia-killing of humans who suffer any particular handicap or medical condition or who are at any particular age and stage of their human life-cycle (senior adult; adult; adolescent/ teenager; child; toddler; baby; newborn; fetus (Latin for “little one,” that is, “little human;” embryo; zygote/fertilized egg) and any attempt to do so devalues human lives (removing the government’s obligation to always protect human lives) which in history always precedes grave injustice and the loss of Democracy/ beginning of Totalitarianism because it legally denies the intrinsic human preciousness and the Inherent Human Right to Live which is the implicit historical and logical foundation of Democracy. Can one possibly explain using science, history, and consistent logic how and why denying equal Human Rights to some humans and enslaving them is wrong, such that the (highly profitable) Slave Trade was bigoted and should be illegal because it denies equal Human Rights to some humans; but somehow denying equal Human Rights to some humans and killing them by abortion is somehow not wrong, such that the (highly profitable) Abortion Industry is somehow not bigoted and should be legal even though it denies equal Human Rights to some humans? ONE CANNOT.
Yes, education is key to stop the progress of “Creeping Totalitarianism” and the bigotry which denies Human Rights to some humans, and the below “Winning Strategy for ‘The Culture of Life’ to WIN the ‘Cultural War’ with ‘The Culture of Death,’ to Save Humanity Forever from ‘Creeping Totalitarianism’” (in the New Abolitionist Manifesto of Solidarity which supplements the Pledge) includes from the grassroots up gradually educating the citizens/electorate of every compromised Western democracy in the historic democracy-grounding and bigotry-ending principle of the equal preciousness of every human life without exception, following the precedent of the original Abolitionists who gradually educated the citizens/electorate of their era in this very same principle in order to convince their government to abolish legal slavery which violated the foundations of democracy as badly as does legal abortion (actually, not as badly as abortion does – legal slavery only denied some humans their legal human personhood and Human Rights including their Inherent Human Right to Live, as legally devalued Black humans died in the tens of thousands on slave ships before they even got to be slaves; legal abortion denies every human their inherent human preciousness and their Inherent Human Right to Live and kills in the millions devalued young humans just like every one of us when we were their age).
This strategy of education of the current democracy-destroying ignorance includes average people JUST LIKE YOU who read and take the Pledge as “Democracy Pledgers” spreading knowledge of it to others, who spread it to others (if you are shy, just start by sharing it with a few friends and family, especially the “easy” ones you know already hold traditional Western values – which they may not realize are democracy-grounding values they should be confident of as such; as you help more people learn of the Pledge it will be spread further by those less shy). This strategy includes some Democracy Pledgers (like you?) becoming Volunteer Democracy Leaders in their city/town to encourage and coordinate local awareness of “Creeping Totalitarianism” and the educational solution to it by various means which can include distribution of promotional materials and starting Lasting Democracy Study Nights where people gather together to read and discuss the Pledge and the longer treatise it is based on, and other materials which educate citizens and help them start thinking about Human Rights and freedoms from their historical and logical “First Principles” so they can last. This strategy can include “Democracy Pledgers” and Volunteer Democracy Leaders encouraging, supporting or co-ordinating the formation (in every city and every country) of Celebrate Human Life! Centers which in informative multi-media displays lay out the cutting-edge scientific and medical facts of human life at all stages of the human life-cycle and the cutting-edge medical facts of current medical procedures and advances to help precious humans to overcome the limitations of injuries, illnesses and other physical or psychological/behavioral handicaps or disorders so as to better live satisfying and meaningful lives despite their disorder/handicap, and displays on what kinds of proper medical palliative care exist or are being developed to increase the comfort and ease the suffering of those near the end of their valuable human lives, who are in the final, active stages of dying. Just this simple, purely scientific medical information will do a huge amount to counteract the gross ignorance of the scientific “facts of life” which has allowed “Creeping Totalitarianism” and legal human-killing (as in all Totalitarian States) into our democracies since the Inherent Human Right to Live, the foundational human right upon which all other Human Rights and democratic freedoms depends, ceased to be legally recognized in most countries (the second those countries de-criminalized abortion which had been illegal since 318 AD). Since the medical profession is at the forefront of “Creeping Totalitarianism,” which since the political de-criminalization of abortion (following the totalitarian Soviet and Nazi precedent) has used anti-democratic political pressure to literally re-write and violate the medical profession’s 2500-year Traditional Hippocratic Oath of doctors to not kill and otherwise “do no harm” to patients by abortion or euthanasia or any other means (for millennia the basis of doctor-patient trust), Celebrate Human Life! Centers can even encourage Traditional Hippocratic doctors to set up medical offices and clinics and services in the same building, so that patients know they have somewhere safe to go in every city to get medical attention from traditional doctors who are not killers – and (as part of the Doctors For Democracy movement initiated and promoted by Human Rights and Freedoms Forever!), patients can support doctors’ democratic freedom of conscience and freedom of speech to object to killing humans, which is being taken away from doctors and other medical professionals in more jurisdictions as “Creeping Totalitarianism” progresses at the expense of Democracy (it was such a violation of doctor-citizens’ democratic rights to not be killers nor facilitate human-killing which originally motivated the writing of The Education Necessary to Preserve Democracy Now Under Attack and The Pledge of Allegiance to Democracy based on it, though sadly this assault was just a harbinger of more assaults on human life, religious freedom, and democracy itself, where this author lives).
Human Life Issues are NON-PARTISAN: All Political Parties of “Left” and “Right” at Least Implicitly Assumed the Traditional Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy in Equal Human Preciousness When All Our Modern Democracies Were Formed – But Some Parties Have Strayed from Their Democratic (Human-Protecting) Roots and Adopted Totalitarian (Human-Killing) Policies [New First Draft Section]
Human Rights and Freedoms Forever! is a non-partisan organization providing a solid education in the underlying historical and logical foundations of Human Rights and Democracy which were laid in the 4th Century and which were at least implicitly assumed at the formation of all of our modern democracies and their founding political parties of “left” or “right.” Of course all political parties in any democracy should ideally be minimally expected to believe in and uphold the Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy which are clearly identified in the first five Articles of the Pledge, and they should get back to these if they have strayed from democracy’s equal-intrinsic-human-worth foundation which all truly democratic parties – both “left” and “right” – used to affirm.
Human Rights and Freedoms Forever! encourages everyone to be involved in the democratic political process before we lose it to the current “Creeping Totalitarianism” undermining our democracies (let’s see 100% voter turnout!), and provides resources to assist in educated votes being cast for politicians of any party who are not ignorant of but uphold the Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy so democracy can last. Uneducated, not-thought-through democratic votes in 1930s Germany resulted in Hitler being democratically elected President of Germany even though he manifestly did not believe in democracy’s foundation that every human life without exception is equally precious, and the ultimate loss of democracy by many small stages in Germany was the natural and logical result which is being repeated in the current “Creeping Totalitarianism” in many Western democracies. The current “Creeping Totalitarianism” is progressing more slowly only because our current “Pro-Choice-to-Kill-Humans” politicians appear ignorant of the fact their “Pro-Choice abortion” policies are following Soviet and Nazi precedent and they are actively dismantling democracy more slowly by ignorance while the Nazis dismantled democracy more quickly by design. But whether by ignorance or by design, as mentioned above, in any country where the equal precious value of every human life or equal “Human Rights for all humans” is considered a matter of “opinion” and “politics” rather than as the very foundation of Human Rights and democracy which it is – like in 1930s Germany – that country has already lost it democratic soul and (like in 1930s Germany) its democracy simply cannot last. Human Rights and Freedoms Forever! teaches that EVERYONE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR LASTING DEMOCRACY and it behooves all voters to become educated in the historical and logical principles which ground all Human Rights and Democracy, to make totalitarianism unthinkable instead of creeping back towards it as we have been for decades now. Western politicians need to re-learn that wherever the government legally makes the rights humans have under the government’s jurisdiction, instead of recognizing INHERENT Human Rights the government did not create but is obligated to protect, democracy is ultimately at risk, because then the government thinks it is greater than the individual humans it governs, and has the power of life or death over individual humans, like in any totalitarian State (instead of serving all precious humans, like democratic governments – “of the people, by the people, for the people” (in the American formulation) are supposed to do). Lasting democracies have no business legislating human life and life and death, which humans may or may not be killed, when and how. Only totalitarian States (or “Creeping Totalitarian” compromised democracies which have abandoned the historic Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy and thus are well on the way to becoming totalitarian States) think the government decides which humans can be legally killed in their country (for any reasons other than protecting always-precious human lives from criminals or aggressors – an occasionally necessary exception discussed in Article 6 of the Pledge). The current worldwide trends to de-criminalize euthanasia (like the Nazis did first, using the same arguments of “preventing suffering”), insidiously re-establishes the government as the final arbiter of which humans live or die under their governance, like in any totalitarian State. All this is done in complete ignorance of the historical fact that it was not until Western governments, starting in the 4th Century, first became aware that human lives were precious not cheap, and that governments were obligated to something higher than the government to always protect human lives, that Western governments started abandoning the trappings of oppressive totalitarianism and started the long process towards modern Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms which developed logically from the starting point of the 318 AD criminalization of abortion because all humans are precious not cheap.
[NOTE on INTRO PART III: One can skip over the “rough draft” remainder of the INTRO and (at last!) go right to THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO DEMOCRACY which contains the “complete education” needed to preserve human life, religious freedom, and democracy itself from all current attacks worldwide. But those who wish to be encouraged that they really can do much to END “CREEPING TOTALITARIANISM” STARTING IN 2017, AND DO IT BOLDLY, may wish to read (or listen to) these bold new rough sections first. It is not necessary to “apologize” for the much greater boldness of the remaining new rough draft sections of INTRO PART III, which some may find surprising (I do myself!). This greater boldness is born of necessity in the service of lasting democracy. It is motivated by the much greater boldness of recent totalitarian advances where I live. Already there have been several other massive assaults on democracy and religious freedom and human life where I live since 2015, which year alone was reminiscent of 1917 Mexico (9 years before the Mexican government started strictly enforcing its new policies and started openly and violently persecuting believers in the traditional Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy in 1926). Now in addition to these 2015 compromises of genuine democracy, my regional jurisdiction has recently introduced newly-proposed legislation, which if passed has the potential to make some citizens live in fear of being reported to authorities for living at home traditional values no longer supported by the increasingly totalitarian government (in addition to some citizens in some professions already being afraid to speak openly at work their traditional values for fear of negative consequences). All of these attacks on democracy from its very foundations are born of ignorance; as a scholar who knows history (and so has insight how to avoid its mistakes) and who can see the patterns of where current events are taking us (terrible places), I have to share boldly what I know, even sharing it in the below “rough draft” form, and together we have to boldly educate the uneducated politicians and voters in where their ignorance is taking all of us, in order to ensure our children and grandchildren are raised in a free democracy!]
Democracy-Destroying Ignorance of Democracy’s Foundations is Rampant Among Today’s Western Politicians and Electorates, and Must Be Combatted (from the Grassroots Up) with “the Education Necessary to Preserve Democracy Now Under Attack,” Summarized in The Pledge of Allegiance to Democracy (and the Antidote to Any Degree of “Creeping Totalitarianism”) (or, Democracy 101: What Every World Citizen Needs to Know to Be EDUCATED Enough to Make Sure Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms Last Forever on Their Firm Historical, Scientific, and Logical Foundations)
Today we have democracy-destroying levels of ignorance running amok among Western politicians and the governments they form. The cost of ignorance is very expensive. We cannot afford to remain uneducated about where our Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms come from, and take them for granted, any more, because we will surely lose them (we are already losing them). Chapter 4 of the treatise The Education Necessary to Preserve Democracy Now Under Attack describes how many of today’s democracies have already progressed through 7 or 8 of the early stages of the gradual loss of democracy in Germany, after (in the voting electorate’s ignorance of the Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy) the German people democratically elected Hitler’s Nazi Party into political power (knowing in advance that Hitler and the Nazi Party did not consider EVERY human life to be EQUAL and PRECIOUS – which is the foundation of Democracy).
Human Rights and Freedoms Forever!’s primary documents (still in development in consultation with other scholars, with earlier drafts already widely available in part on the above non-profit website – http://protecthumanrightsandfreedoms.ourchur.ch ) are The Pledge of Allegiance to Democracy (and the Antidote to Any Degree of “Creeping Totalitarianism”) (alternately titled Democracy 101 to indicate it includes a basic education in the historical and scientific facts most pertinent to lasting Democracy); and the longer treatise The Education Necessary to Preserve Democracy Now Under Attack it is based on; and the new, 1-sheet handout or pamphlet “Top 6 Historical Facts Few Know that Should Turn THINKING People from “Pro-Choice” to “Pro-Human-Rights” (and from “Pro-Life” to Human Rights Champions and Democracy’s Best Defenders): History and Logic Prove Pro-Life= Pro-Democracy” [Note: I have started a new revision more simply entitled The Top 6 Facts Few Know About Human Rights History Which Prove PRO-LIFE = PRO-DEMOCRACY] Although the 1-sheet “Top 6” cannot be thorough, it alone is enough to show that anyone who considers themselves “Pro-Choice,” who does not know any one of the “Top 6 Historical Facts Few Know,” holds a position based in ignorance that must be educated for the safety of humanity. All of these documents reveal, using undisputed scientific and historical facts and clear, sound logic, that there are ultimately only two reasons people – whether politicians or the voters who vote them into power – are “Pro-Choice” (that is, “Pro-Choice-To-Kill-Humans”): they are either ignorant or they are evil. And their response to The Education Necessary to Preserve Democracy Now Under Attack and The Pledge of Allegiance to Democracy (and the short “Top 6 Historical Facts Few Know”) will reveal which of the two they are (so they had better respond very carefully and intelligently). The merely ignorant, even if they find the truth about human life and lasting human freedom inconvenient, once exposed to the facts and logic that give them their Human Rights and freedoms will willingly become educated with “the education necessary to preserve democracy” and will abandon the ultimately and fundamentally anti-democratic “Pro-Choice” philosophy driving “Creeping Totalitarianism,” for the sake of all humanity and for lasting democracy. Those so self-centered and selfish that that they cannot put humanity’s lasting safety and freedom before their own interests or political power, and so resist receiving “the education necessary to preserve democracy” even though it is composed mostly of undisputed facts connected using clear and irrefutable logic, will reveal themselves as not merely ignorant but evil.
I charitably grant all “Pro-Choicers,” both politicians and voters, the benefit of the doubt: I expect most voters (and even most politicians) really do want Human Rights and democracy to last and their “Pro-Choice” leanings will prove to be merely based on ignorance, readily abandoned once they are educated (even if they do not like some of the personal inconveniences involved in putting humanity’s long-term safety and freedom before their own personal convenience or their own political power). For the others, those politicians and voters who remain staunchly ” Pro-Choice”/ ”Pro-Abortion” after being exposed to The Pledge of Allegiance to Democracy (and the Antidote to Any Degree of “Creeping Totalitarianism”) and the treatise The Education Necessary to Preserve Democracy Now Under Attack, these who refuse to learn “Democracy 101” are here warned that from now on, to save face they will have to claim they were merely ignorant (even if they are really selfish/evil). The “golden threads” (among the great morass of historical details) which gave us modern Human Rights and freedoms via a completely logical development of the ancient “Pro-Life” (or “Pro-Human-Right-to-Live”) Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy (introduced into the West in the 4th Century) have been clearly laid bare by the educated “broad perspective on Western Civilization” of the treatise and the Pledge. These works (though still only in second draft and they will be improved in collaboration with other scholars) are based on the reflections of a scholar (who was professor of a university course covering the First Millennium, when the key changes to Western Civilization and Western Thought and practice happened, which enabled modern Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms to gradually but logically develop; a scholar who during his doctoral studies spent a lot of time perusing an academic library with original books and documents going back to the Middle Ages; a scholar who has “at his fingertips” a massive 4,400+ volume scholar’s library of easily searchable electronic edition scholarly reference works, histories, and hundreds of thousands of pages of primary historical documents from ancient to current times which in the course of researching various topics have brought him many insights into how people lived and thought throughout history, which made the “golden threads” stand out). So, these works of Human Rights and Freedoms Forever! are built on for the most part well-known (at least to scholars), easily verifiable and undisputed historical (and scientific, biological) facts, connected by clear, sound logic. Thus, any politicians or grassroots voters who foolishly attempt to resist or discredit or oppose “the education necessary to preserve democracy now under attack” and the Pledge based on it, instead of letting their ignorance of these undisputed facts be educated, merely declare themselves uneducated or unintelligent “totalitarian creeps” with no interest in lasting democracy (and probably some kind of personally self-serving agenda – sometimes because they personally profit from the powerful Abortion Industry which like the Slave Trade before it profits highly from denying Human Rights to some humans). “Pro-Choice” (that is, “Pro-Choice-to-Kill-Humans”) voters now declare themselves the same kind of ignorant voters who voted for Hitler (who shared their “Pro-Choice” values that not all humans have equal Human Rights and was the second leader to de-criminalize abortion after the totalitarian Soviets did). “Pro-Choice” politicians now declare themselves “totalitarian creeps” unfit to be politicians in a democracy that wants to last as one. To save face, and to avoid being justly labelled “totalitarian creeps” who whether by ignorance or by design are furthering current intolerable trends of “Creeping Totalitarianism,” the ardently “Pro-Choice” (“Pro-Choice-to-Kill-Humans”) from now on will have to pretend that they were merely ignorant and not evil, since one would have to burn all the libraries to erase the facts The Education Necessary to Preserve Democracy Now Under Attack and The Pledge of Allegiance to Democracy are based on, so only the uneducated, unintelligent, or evil would attempt to deny the key facts underlying the historical and logical development of Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms. Further, now the history and logic underlying lasting democracy are clearly exposed, what “Pro-Choicer” would want to publicly admit they are so unintelligent that they cannot even see the logic that of course the very best long-term guarantee of the maintenance of Human Rights and Democracy are the historic “Pro-Life” principles which declare the supreme and equal value of every human life without exception; valuable and precious human lives which therefore must be FREE from all government coercion so as to freely seek and find this wonderful truth about human existence? (“Pro-Life” principles which the treatise and the Pledge demonstrate from undisputed historical facts are since the 4th Century the historic root of all Human Rights and eventually of modern democracy – ancient democracy experiments had no principle of human equality and very few could vote, and the few who did could own slaves. But the principle of HUMAN EQUALITY always specifically included preborn human lives who for this reason first became legally protected from ancient abortion practices in 318 AD). It should be embarrassing enough that ardent “Pro-Choicers” hold a position so manifestly opposed to the Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy (now that they have been so clearly and undeniably revealed from history and logic), so why would they embarrass themselves further by claiming their minds are so deficient and unintelligent that they cannot see the logic that “Pro-Choice” philosophy cannot near so well guarantee the long-term maintenance of Human Rights and Democracy, simply because “Pro-Choice” philosophy, no matter how it is superficially dressed in the language of compassion and freedom (as a concession to many centuries of traditional “Pro-Life” habits of thinking), underneath still clearly shares with all oppressive and totalitarian States the conviction that human life is NOT inherently valuable just for being human and alive, but that some human lives can be legally killed when they are deemed inconvenient? (the “Pro-Choice” right of parents to choose to raise or kill their children by abortion was in fact the ancient norm back when parents could also choose to sell their children as slaves and governments also had the right to choose to enslave or kill those citizens they found “inconvenient.” The word “Choice” in “Pro-Choice” only superficially makes it sound like “Pro-Choice” philosophy has anything to do with genuine freedom).
The bottom line is that “Pro-Choice” politicians – whatever their genuine strengths or charismatic appeal (like Hitler’s) may be – simply and literally are not qualified to be politicians in any democracy that wants to remain a democracy long-term, because (like Hitler) they do not even believe in the Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy, which are clearly articulated in Articles 1-5 of the Pledge (Democracy 101). “Pro-Choice” politicians and voters are driving the “Creeping Totalitarianism” destroying Democracy because they are either ignorant or evil. It is the intention of the Pledge of Allegiance to Democracy and The Education Necessary to Preserve Democracy Now Under Attack, after first educating “Pro-Lifers” why they are the premier defenders of democracy, to also educate that majority of those with “Pro-Choice” leanings who are merely ignorant, so they now know how to do what is best for humanity, and to call those who are evil into doing the right thing for all humanity even despite their selfish inclinations that deny Human Rights to all humans and even deny the simple maxim that killing humans is wrong, a principle which the West learned in the 4th century, which became the cornerstone of Human Rights and Freedoms.
In all Possible Future Scenarios, the BEST CHANCE for Lasting Human Rights and Democracy Worldwide is Education: for the Most People to KNOW the Now-Clearly-Defined Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy (Articulated in Articles 1-5 of the Pledge) and Have “The Education Necessary to Preserve Democracy” promoted by Human Rights and Freedoms Forever! [New Rough Draft Section]
The Goal of the new non-profit educational organization Human Rights and Freedoms Forever! and of the foundational documents it is developing, such as the treatise The Education Necessary to Preserve Democracy Now Under Attack, the shorter Pledge of Allegiance to Democracy (and the Antidote to Any Degree of “Creeping Totalitarianism”) (Democracy 101) based on it, and the supplementary New Abolitionist Manifesto of Solidarity, is to give Westerners the Human Rights education (right from First Principles) which they lack, which made them take democracy for granted and erode away its foundations with de-criminalized abortion which started “Creeping Totalitarianism.” The Manifesto lays out a complete strategy for educating the West until it does the right thing for all humanity, based on the strategy successfully used by the original Abolitionists, the Human Rights champions who ended the legal slavery of humans which was every bit as incompatible with Democracy as is the legal abortion-killing of humans. The treatise, the Pledge and the Manifesto intend to be the documents that (hopefully) PREVENT current worldwide trends of “Creeping Totalitarianism” (building for decades now) from going to their full democracy-ending logical conclusions (if the warning is heeded early enough). If the warning herein is not heeded in time and democracy at least in some countries indeed eventually collapses into full-blown totalitarianism under the stress of the current powerfully anti-traditional and anti-democratic trends of “Creeping Totalitarianism,” these intend to be at least the documents that help the West to later rebuild democracy on the firm Foundational Principles of Human Rights And Democracy so clearly identified in the Pledge, so that democracy can last next time, but sadly in this case only after whatever horrors the West suffers as it loses democracy and descends further into totalitarianism because it did not heed the warning of these documents in time. Chapter 4 of The Education Necessary to Preserve Democracy Now Under Attack shows how our current democracies have already gone through about 7 or 8 of the early stages of the gradual loss of democracy by small stages they went through in 1930s Germany, since following the Nazi precedent of de-criminalizing abortion (and euthanasia) even though this eliminates any legally recognized Inherent Human Right to Live which is the ground of all Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms. So, we need to realize that many Western democracies are already well on the way towards full-blown totalitarianism, and no longer just moving towards it at a ‘creeping’ pace in some jurisdictions. I submit that these key documents of Human Rights and Freedoms Forever!, even in their as-yet unpolished draft form, represent the BEST CHANCE the West has to AVOID losing democracy to current “Creeping Totalitarianism,” and the BEST CHANCE the West has to restore a democracy we can reasonably expect to last (which we currently do not have); also the BEST CHANCE we have to find out if the current powerful trends of ‘Creeping Totalitarianism’ will turn out to be a fragile “house of cards” that falls easily when enough educated citizens stand up against it in Solidarity, as even the only-seemingly mighty Soviet Union did when citizens stood up against its full-blown totalitarianism in Solidarity (the Polish Solidarity movement, which undermined hard-line Communism in the Eastern Bloc countries, played a major role in the bloodless fall of the (only apparently mighty) oppressive totalitarian Soviet Union). And, in the worst-case scenario, in which the warning herein is not heeded and/or the current momentum of “Creeping Totalitarianism” turns out to be just too great to avoid the disaster, these documents are the BEST CHANCE the West has of knowing afterwards how to properly rebuild Human Rights and Democracy on the firm traditional Foundational Principles they were originally built on, so that next time it will last. As the BEST CHANCE for lasting Democracy, Religious Freedom, and Human Rights in all possible future scenarios is for the MOST PEOPLE to receive and know this “education necessary to preserve democracy,” I exhort all readers to “take the Pledge” by spreading it to others, so they receive this vital education and spread it to others.
There are many other excellent organizations which are already treating the various symptoms of “Creeping Totalitarianism:” such as those specifically working to end legal abortion or end legal euthanasia or defend religious freedom or defend doctors’ freedom of conscience (to not be involved in killing humans by abortion or euthanasia) in their specific country or other jurisdiction. But Human Rights and Freedoms Forever! is unique, because it is diagnosing and treating the root historical causes of “Creeping Totalitarianism” with a vision applicable on a global scale (specifically identifying the “3 wrong turns” on Western Civilization’s path which has brought us to verge of losing Democracy, and offering solutions to correct all of them). Other excellent organizations spread worldwide are working hard to win important battles for human life, Human Rights, and religious freedom in their particular jurisdiction; Human Rights and Freedoms Forever! has got the “Winning Strategy” to win the war on human life and freedom on a global scale – and to make it unthinkable for the ignorant or evil to restart the current multi-faceted attacks on human life, religious freedom, and Democracy itself in the future. The new Human Rights and Freedoms Forever! hopes to collaborate with these many established local or national organizations, to share its global vision and educational tools and “winning strategy,” since all local or national efforts to protect human life and freedoms will go much farther if implemented knowing this “education necessary” and enacted with a vision to not only win the immediate battle but to also WIN the ‘Cultural War’ so all new attacks on traditional values eventually cease, according to this “Winning Strategy for ‘The Culture of Life’ to WIN the ‘Cultural War’ with ‘The Culture of Death,’ to Save Humanity Forever from ‘Creeping Totalitarianism.’ ”

I repeat that “uneducated” and “ignorant” are not meant as insulting words. Everyone is “uneducated” in an area of knowledge until they have been educated in it. Everyone is “ignorant” of the things they have never learned. If you are “Pro-Choice,” you may not be personally responsible for the fact of your poor education in the facts that are most pertinent to lasting Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms. I was never “Pro-Choice,” but for decades I too was too ignorant to realize just how grossly and fundamentally anti-democratic abortion is, and I took little action for lasting Human Rights and freedoms either.
But that is what Human Rights and Freedoms Forever! is for – to educate people’s ignorance with what I have learned as a “lifelong learner” and sometime-professor, that most people have simply not had the opportunity to learn. I have to share what I have learned which is most pertinent to Human Rights and freedoms (and the “Creeping Totalitarianism now destroying them) that most people simply do not know, facts that should make all the difference to anyone of intelligence who does not selfishly put personal convenience or gain or political power ahead of the long-term safety and freedom of all humanity.
So I repeat that I intend to insult no-one when I make the charge of widespread ignorance of Democracy’s foundations among Western politicians and voters, because I only know what I do about the changes and development of Western thought and practice throughout history that gave us our rights and freedoms, which I lay out in the Pledge (Democracy 101) and the longer treatise, because I am a scholar, who was professor of a university course covering the First Millennium during which the key Foundational Principles of all future Human Rights and Freedoms were laid; because I worked at two academic libraries with original documents dating back to the Middle Ages; and because in addition to my modest scholar’s library in print, I have at my fingertips a vast instantly searchable electronic scholar’s library database of currently over 4,400 scholarly reference works and scholarly monographs and journals; histories written from ancient to modern times; and hundreds of thousands of pages of primary historical documents from ancient to modern times, in English translation or in original languages with all the scholarly language tools needed to access them. With access to such materials I have been able to gradually gain (and am still gaining) an acute historical sense most have not had opportunity to learn. Over the years as I have worked on various research projects on various topics (including my doctoral thesis which covers a 2000 year span of documents), I have always been fascinated with the many tangents off the topic I learn just by perusing primary historical documents, things which help me to “be there” with the authors and gain insight into how people of whichever time period I am reading from used to live, used to think, what they assumed and what motivated them.
So my treatise The Education Necessary to Preserve Democracy Now Under Attack is a scholar’s reflection “coalescing” a lifetime of learning from such top quality scholarly resources and a Ph.D.-level education, identifying the “golden threads” of Human Rights and Freedoms as they actually (and logically) developed, and applying this vital knowledge to the current, urgent fact of “Creeping totalitarianism” right now undermining genuine democracy. The Pledge of Allegiance to Democracy (with its several supplements) is a summary of many (not all) of the key facts and logic of human rights and Freedoms identified in the earlier (much longer) reflective treatise of a scholar.
There are very many facts of history and science thought through and connected logically in the treatise and the Pledge (Democracy 101), to powerfully demonstrate how traditional Western values are absolutely essential to BOTH the original development of AND the long-term maintenance of Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms. But to introduce any thinking person briefly to “the education necessary to preserve Democracy now under attack” I have distilled these “Top 6 historical facts” (pertaining only to the last of the “3 wrong turns” resulting in “Creeping Totalitarianism”) into the short pamphlet entitled

Fact 1: “Pro-Choice Abortion” Philosophy and the Parental “Right to Choose” to Raise or Abort One’s Child is Not New but Ancient, Part of the Brutal Ancient Mindset Where Human Life was Cheap Not Precious, Before There Were Any Legally Recognized Human Rights.

Governments felt no necessary obligation to either protect or serve human lives for exactly the same reason that parents felt no obligation to necessarily raise their children but could “choose” to kill them by abortion – human life was considered cheap not precious. Parents could sell their children into slavery or abort them because there were no recognized Human Rights. If you did not know this fact and you are “Pro-Choice,” this fact alone should make you re-think your position for the sake of all humanity.

The “Pro-Life” principle that every human life without exception is not cheap but precious, and equally precious, such that governments are obligated to protect all human lives, is also not new but ancient (only the name is new) . . . The “Pro-Life” principle was first given practical expression when for the first time Human Rights became legally recognized and protected by law with the 318 AD criminalization of abortion and infanticide specifically because human life was no longer considered cheap, to serve the greater State, but from now on precious, and the State was since then obligated to protect precious human lives from the womb . . . This gradually changed the whole way humans were governed. Before this, Western governments were judged by their civic accomplishments, often on the backs of their cheap human subjects (1/3 of whom were slaves). After this, Western governments were judged by how well or poorly they treated the precious human persons (from the womb) they ruled because it was since then generally recognized in the West that killing humans is wrong. If you did not know this fact and you are “Pro-Choice,” this fact alone should make you re-think your position for the sake of all humanity.
Fact 3: Precious Human Life Was Protected by Law or Custom Right from its Beginning in the Womb from the 4th Century to the 20th Century (During Which Time Modern Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms Gradually but Logically Developed from the Foundational Principle That Every Human Life is Equally Precious, Which is WHY Each Human Deserves an Equal Say or Vote), Until the First Two Modern Nations to De-Criminalize Abortion Were Soviet Russia (in 1920) and Nazi Germany (in 1934) – Totalitarian States Threatening the Lives and Freedoms of Citizens Just Like Those Back When Legal Abortion was the Ancient Norm.
. . . these two governments perpetrated the two largest genocides of born humans in history: the Soviet Holodomor – the forced starvation to death of 7-10 million Ukrainian humans in 1932-3, just as the Nazi Holocaust of 6 million Jewish humans (plus handicapped humans) was getting started . . . [AFTER] de-crimnalized abortion had already established in Soviet Russia and Nazi Germany that there was no longer any legally recognized Inherent Human Right to Live as had been recognized by law or custom since 318 AD. Thus logically these governments no longer felt any obligation to protect or serve born humans either, logically leading them to descend back into the oppressive governmental totalitarianism that was NORMAL in ancient times back when legal abortion was NORMAL. Fact 4: 3 important things happened in 1948 specifically intending to make sure anything like the de-humanizing Nazi atrocities that denied Human Rights to some humans never threatened Democracy and Human Rights again: 1) The Nuremberg War Crimes Trials condemned the Nazis for Legal Abortion they encouraged mothers to ask for, describing Legal Abortion as “an inhumane act,” an “act of extermination” and a “crime against humanity” because 2) (as the newly-formed UN’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights declared the same year) Human Rights are for ALL humans “without distinction of any kind” because “recognition of the inherent dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of ALL members of the human family is the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world.” 3) The 1948 Declaration of Geneva, in response to the Nazis de-criminalizing both human-killing abortion and human-killing euthanasia in violation of the 2500-year Hippocratic Medical Tradition that doctors do not kill patients, similarly reaffirmed the Hippocratic Oath Tradition in the doctor’s promise, “I will maintain the utmost respect for human life, from the time of conception; even under threat, I will not use my medical knowledge contrary to the laws of humanity.” In 1948 the West knew killing humans is wrong (and doctors don’t kill patients) because humans have inherent Human Rights, and at Nuremberg realized everyone has a human responsibility to recognize those rights in other humans or else totalitarianism and atrocities happen.
While the Nazi atrocities which degraded and devalued human life in so many ways were still fresh in everyone’s minds, everyone recognized that de-criminalized abortion and euthanasia, which the Nazis would have forcefully imposed on the Free West if the Nazis had won World War II, were a consistently logical part of the whole anti-human Nazi approach to human life and so treated them as “crimes against humanity.” In any country where the equal precious value of every human life or equal “human rights for all humans” is not a given but considered a matter of “opinion” and “politics” rather than as the very foundation of human rights and democracy which it is – like in 1930s Germany concerning Jewish humans and like today concerning preborn humans – that country has already lost its democratic soul and (like in 1930s Germany) its democracy simply cannot last. If you did not know this fact and you are “Pro-Choice” (that is, “Pro-Choice-to-Kill-Humans”), this fact alone should make you re-think your position for the sake of all humanity.
Fact 5: As any thinking person would totally expect once knowing the above facts, of course the “Free West,” since following the Totalitarian Soviet and Nazi precedent of de-criminalizing the abortion of preborn humans (thereby cancelling out the legally recognized Inherent Human Right to Live which is the foundation of all Human Rights and Freedoms), has in fact introduced “Creeping Totalitarianism” into Western democracies, gradually but logically undermining Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms and making Western democracies gradually take on more and more characteristics of Totalitarian States.

Like traditional Western believers in the supreme and equal value of every human life without exception in Nazi Germany were afraid to speak openly their traditional belief on behalf of Jewish humans who had been “legally devalued” (and killed in the millions) for fear of negative consequences like losing their jobs or being arrested, so today more and more citizens in more and more professions and jurisdictions are becoming more and more afraid to speak at work this same traditional, democracy-grounding belief on behalf of preborn humans who have been similarly “legally devalued” (and killed in the millions), for fear of job discipline, or losing funding, and peaceful human rights advocates protesting human-killing near abortion clinics have been similarly arrested and jailed . . . [As discussed above, many medical professionals and parents and other citizens RIGHT NOW experience] truncation of their democratic freedom to express the traditional values Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms are historically and logically built on (like “killing humans is wrong”), for fear of consequences – like in Totalitarian States. “Creeping Totalitarianism” is a world-wide “Pro-Choice” anti-democratic trend driven by the internal logic of “Pro-Choice Abortion” philosophy itself, which to continue unimpeded necessarily must bully and hammer away at the democratic rights and freedoms of those doctors and other medical professionals who object to killing humans, and of all who believe human life is inherently valuable, to silence them to make sure humans can be killed without anyone complaining – like in every Totalitarian State, ancient or modern. . . . This gradual loss of Democracy by many small stages (as in 1930s Germany) is completely logical, because like any structure, Democracy simply cannot last without its foundation, which is the EQUAL precious value of every human life without exception, which the government is always obligated to protect. Without this democratic foundation, we are becoming DINOs – Democracies In Name Only. If you did not know this fact and you are “Pro-Choice,” this fact alone should make you re-think your position for the sake of all humanity.
Fact 6: Legal Abortion (with its profitable Abortion Industry) is every bit as fundamentally incompatible with Democracy as Legal Slavery (with its profitable Slave Trade) was, for precisely the same reason: Both (like the Nazis) deny human rights to some humans (making “Human Rights” meaningless if not all humans have them) and both violate the same traditional Foundational Principle of Human Rights and Democracy that every human life without exception is EQUAL and PRECIOUS, which is the underlying reason Western governments stopped being oppressive and totalitarian, and eventually gave every human a vote or democratic say in his or her own governance, in the first place. Legal Abortion needs to be abolished for precisely the same reason Legal Slavery did. It is fundamentally anti-human & anti-democratic.
. . . legally devalued Black humans by the tens of thousands died tightly chained together in their own waste on slave ships before they even got the chance to be slaves, at plantations with poor safety standards where many died working as slaves, just as legally devalued Jewish humans were killed in the millions in Nazi Death Camps and just as legally devalued preborn humans are today killed in the millions in abortion clinics. The original Abolitionists called for the Abolition of Legal Slavery for the sake of equal human rights for all humans which is the foundation of Democracy. “Pro-Lifers” are literally the New Abolitionists, calling for the Abolition of Legal Abortion because they are championing precisely the same Foundational Principle of Human Rights and Democracy that every human without exception – whether Black, Jewish, or preborn – has Equal Human Rights including an Inherent Human Right to Live. Only ignorance and bigotry ever denies Human Rights to some humans, and the age-bigotry of Legal Abortion is every bit as vile as the race-bigotry of Legal Slavery or Nazi Death Camps; worse, it is the bigotry against the Human Race itself, eradicating the Inherent Human Right to Live of everybody, since every one of us used to be a fetal-age human who (in the perspective of Legal Abortion) could have been legally killed at fetal age and therefore NONE OF US have any legally recognized Inherent Human Right to Live since abortion was de-criminalized (each of us was only “allowed” to live, in violation of the clear intention of the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights to apply human rights to all humans “without distinction of any kind” because “recognition of the inherent dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of ALL members of the human family is the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world”). If you did not know this fact and you are “Pro-Choice,” this fact alone should make you re-think your position for the sake of all humanity. These “Top 6” facts alone prove far beyond reasonable doubt that “Pro-Choice Abortion” philosophy with its “right-to-kill-humans” has since ancient times been the enemy of Human Rights and Freedoms; has already eliminated everyone’s legally recognized Inherent Human Right to Live; and is currently destroying genuine democracy through “Pro-Choice” “Creeping Totalitarian” policies specifically to ensure “abortion access” at the high cost of Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms. Pro-Life = Pro-Democracy.
These top 6 facts, ranging from ancient times through modern times to the present day, are all extremely pertinent to today’s question of whether preborn humans have Human Rights – and extremely pertinent to the question of whether any humans have Human Rights (which itself is not a given worldwide). Therefore, any opinion on whether or not the abortion-killing of preborn humans should be legal that does not know any one of these facts which few know (actually each a cluster of facts) is an uninformed opinion based on an uneducated ignorance of the most pertinent history and logic underlying Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms.
Basically, nobody who today is “Pro-Choice” consciously chose to be so even though they were fully consciously aware of these “top 6” facts – meaning basically that all who are “Pro-Choice” – politicians or voters – hold the position only because of ignorance. Lasting democracy needs people’s opinions on life issues to be based in educated knowledge of the most pertinent facts of Human Life and Freedom, not based in ignorance of the facts most pertinent to the origins and future of Democracy. The challenge of the Pledge and the treatise (which have many more than just these “top 6” facts) is to replace one’s “Pro-Choice” position based in ignorance, which is backed up primarily by the classic “Pro-Choice” merely emotional arguments (discussed below) and not well thought through at all (and entirely lacking the necessary education to know the most pertinent facts, so “Pro-Choicers” are easily distracted by much less significant and much less pertinent facts or arguments they use to convince themselves to stay “Pro-Choice”).
These above logically connected and undisputed “top 6 historical Facts” distilled from the Pledge and the scholar’s reflective treatise speak for themselves, and are all the more powerful when combined with the undisputed science of human life. In the next section, these (representing the greater wealth of facts in the Pledge and treatise) will be compared to the top facts and arguments used to de-criminalize abortion decades ago, which are still the top arguments used in a (very intellectually weak) attempt to justify the continued legal abortion-killing of human lives.
Next to the Genuine Facts of History and Science Implicitly Underlying Human Rights and Democracy (and Made Explicit in the Pledge/Democracy 101), The Best “Pro-Choice Abortion” Justifications and Arguments are Obviously Weak and False, Just as Next to Real Money the Counterfeit Looks Fake [New Rough Draft Section]
Just like it is much more valuable to for bank officials to study genuine money than to study counterfeit money, because, if they are intimately familiar with the real thing, that itself makes it easy to recognize any counterfeit (whatever precise form it takes), so my principal educational works like the treatise and the Pledge concentrate on the real facts and logic implicitly undergirding all Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms, without discussing in depth all the many various arguments put forth today to justify all the currently fashionable non-traditional values which are undermining genuine Human Rights and Democracy, simply because next to the real, traditional foundations of Human Rights and Freedoms these recent, anti-traditional ideas and arguments look as weak (if not colossally stupid) as they are, and there is little need to waste more time refuting them.
For example: having first recalled the Science of Biology in fact confirms beyond dispute that any human life is the same unique living individual biological human organism with absolutely unique human DNA utterly distinct from his or her parents at every age and stage of his or her human life-cycle from zygote (fertilized egg) to senior adult (yes, that fetus in your mother’s womb with your unique DNA that you grew from to be the size you are now was YOU!); and having first established from undisputed facts connected using compelling logic that all Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms are historically and logically rooted in traditional Western values including the essentially “Pro-Life” historic Foundational Principles Human Rights and Democracy, which are given an eminently logical, mature and precise articulation in the first 5 Articles of the Pledge; and having also first demonstrated that “Pro-Choice abortion” philosophy throughout history has always gone logically hand-in-hand with oppressive totalitarianism, simply because there is no logical reason for any State to grant either Human Rights or Democratic Freedoms to humans in any State which does not even recognize any Inherent Human Right to Live, because abortion is legal (and having pointed out the undisputed fact the first two modern States to de-criminalize abortion were totalitarian Soviet Russia and totalitarian Nazi Germany) — with that much solid and sensible education in view, it is simply not necessary to waste much time refuting the silly argument that the current abortion-on-demand of preborn humans in many jurisdictions should be legal (despite the fact it undermines democracy from its foundations) just because a tiny fraction of the human-killing abortions currently performed end pregnancies where the human baby was conceived in rape and was not the result of adult sexual consent.
For no logical reason, this is considered one of the strongest arguments for legal abortion, so “strong” that unclear thinkers on both sides still cite it. Some “Pro-Lifers” actually agree with abortion only in the “hard case” of rape – which would mean hardly any abortions would ever be performed, but it still logically cancels everybody’s legally recognized Inherent Human Right to Live, since if humans conceived in rape do not have a legally recognized inherent right to live therefore they can be legally killed by abortion, then logically no humans have a right to live that is inherent to being human, that the government recognizes – just like in any totalitarian State.
This not logical but merely emotional appeal to the sympathetic “hard case” of rape played a major part in the USA’s Roe v. Wade decision which de-criminalized abortion in the US (even though “Roe” later admitted she had lied about being raped, and later yet became a “Pro-Life” Human Rights advocate). “Pro-Choicers” consider abortion due to rape a justifiable reason to (like the Nazis and slave-owners) deny Human Rights to some humans – and somehow even so much a “right” (even though this “right to kill humans” eliminates the Inherent Human Right to Live) that abortion in general (which is usually not from rape) has somehow become widely decriminalized partly on the basis of this rare “hard case” – but all in total ignorance of the above “Top 6” facts, never mind the rest of the scientific and historical facts in the book-length treatise and the Pledge. How does the argument that abortion is justifiable in the case of rape hold up when put side-by-side against even just these six facts?
Let us rephrase the Pro-Choice “rape” argument in light of the undisputed facts of the historical and logical development of Democracy revealed in The Education Necessary to Preserve Democracy Now Under Attack (summarized in the key “top 6 facts”): In this factual light the “Pro-Choice abortion” argument is that we should follow the precedent of oppressive totalitarian regimes and actually undermine the whole fabric of our entire free and democratic way of life by legally eradicating the Inherent Human Right to Live of all of us by de-criminalizing abortion, and kill millions of humans worldwide every year, just because a tiny percentage of those humans were not conceived consensually and thus not wanted by their mothers, who may find their human child reminds them of the crime done to them later (science confirms the percentage of pregnancies due to rape is tiny because it is difficult for a random rape to result in pregnancy – the rape would have to happen to occur during the only two days of the woman’s monthly ovulation cycle that she CAN conceive a child, and a violent rape happens without the benefit of the fluids produced by the woman’s body during normal lovemaking which facilitate a conception).
As the counterfeit money is obvious next to the real thing, so it is obvious next to the facts undergirding all Human Rights and Democracy that there have to be much better ways to deal with the evil of rape than by adopting totalitarian anti-human policies which ultimately lead only to oppressive totalitarianism (as the current “Creeping Totalitarianism” specifically to ensure “abortion access” proves); there have to be better ways to deal with rape than legally eliminating the Inherent Human Right to Live (for BOTH the child AND the mother, since with legal abortion the mother too has no inherent human rights and could have been legally aborted by her mother too, as could ALL OF US who no longer have a recognized Inherent Human Right to Live because of this ridiculous “solution” to the social problem of criminal rape). It should be also noted that the Pro-Choice position is not even remotely logically consistent, since Pro-Choicers argue that abortion should be legal if a child is produced by a non-consensual rape, and at the same time the Pro-Choice argument is that we should also undermine Human Rights for everyone by legally killing millions more human babies who were in fact conceived as the result of adult sexual consent, in a (scientifically, biologically speaking) successful sexual encounter of consenting adults which successfully resulted in sex’s whole biological purpose, of human procreation – just because some are immature and irresponsible enough to engage in nature’s process of producing the next generation of precious humans without any intention of nor even openness to the possibility of successfully doing so (which is an irresponsible and inhuman use of nature’s way of producing humans, that violates our human biology itself – so no wonder it leads also to compromised Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms for all humans through de-criminalized abortion eradicating the legally recognized Inherent Human Right to Live when immature and irresponsible people demand the “right to kill” by abortion their irresponsibly produced preborn precious human children).
Here is another example of sloppy “Pro-Choice abortion” thinking (one cannot call it “logic”) that is revealed as being as counterfeit and absurd as it is just by knowing all the actual facts underlying Human Rights: the notion that it was worth eliminating the Inherent Human Right to Live for everyone and unleashing the current “Creeping Totalitarianism” undermining Democracy into the West “because some pregnant women get hurt or die from illegal abortions.” This “reasoning” (if one can call it that) was actually used in the de-criminalization of abortion in many countries, even though it is exactly like saying “because some people get desperate enough to commit crimes for sometimes sympathetic reasons, we should de-criminalize the crimes so anyone – desperate or not – can legally do them for any reason.” Would we de-criminalize stealing because some cat-burglars, some of whom are desperate enough to steal for sympathetic reasons like feeding their poor family, get hurt or killed in the dangerous process of committing their crime (by crawling into upper-storey windows where they could fall)? The whole fabric of the Law which guards the Human Rights (and property rights) of everyone is offended by this “reasoning.” Clearly, if a woman for whatever reason, however sympathetic it might be, feels desperate enough to kill her own child that she is willing to risk her own life while committing the crime in a dangerous illegal abortion (as in the “cat burglar” analogy where a man feels desperate enough to steal to feed his family that he is willing to risk his own life while committing the crime in a dangerous upper-story cat-burglary), the solution in either case cannot be to legalize the crime, which can only make more innocent human victims, because it only motivates many more people, who are NOT criminally desperate, to commit the same crime as the few who are criminally desperate. The solution has to be to uphold the law which protects the rights of everyone (the right to life or the right to property) but seek social reforms and social support programs that lessen people’s temptations to become desperate enough to commit a crime, whether a crime against humanity or a crime against property.
The third big “hard case” used illogically to somehow justify legal abortion-on-demand in addition to the “hard case” is that abortion should be legally allowed in cases “where medically necessary to save the mother.” But if one thinks this “hard case” logically through, this “hard case” is dead easy to resolve without in any way compromising Democracy’s foundation of the Inherent Human Right to Live and driving “Creeping Totalitarianism” with legal “abortion-on-demand.”
The Pro-Life principles which (the Pledge and treatise prove) are so foundational to lasting Democracy itself are simply enough applied even to difficult medical decisions in a way which maintains the value and dignity of all human life. In the exceedingly rare case where a complication in the pregnancy puts the mother’s health in serious danger, it will be a human tragedy if either the mother or the baby or both die. If doctors are in the very rare situation of having to make a decision to save one of the two human lives or the other but cannot save both, in that case whichever one dies will be a tragedy, because every human life is precious. Even in these cases, some “Pro-Life” surgeons argue there is no such thing as a “medically necessary abortion,” because a medical procedure that saves the mother’s life which the baby will not survive (as a side-effect) still does not need to target the baby for death (as the intended effect) as an abortion does. So there is simply no need to legally allow abortion when necessary to save the mother – all the law has to do is simply acknowledge the (worldwide daily) reality in emergency rooms that medical personnel, who (like the government in a healthy democracy!) are obligated to do all they can to save precious threatened human lives, sometimes are unable to do so.
In a pregnancy or with other medical issues, sometimes the patient just cannot be saved despite the best efforts of medical personnel who (if they are good doctors) value each human life they treat as precious. Wartime and other emergency physicians are often in a similar situation of “which patient do we try to save” or “which patient do we try to save first” when they do not have the time or resources to save all the patients. In those cases where it is unlikely or impossible for the doctors to save both of two patients, usually the doctors can roughly estimate “chances for survival” of both. The general medical rule in such cases is to give priority to saving the patient with the best chance of survival (saving the other afterwards IF POSSIBLE), and there is no reason not to simply follow that principle in the rare cases of complications in pregnancy which threaten the life of the mother. Since the mother can speak for herself and the baby cannot, the wishes of the mother as to whether the doctors, who want to save both if possible, should give priority to saving her baby or herself should be seriously considered, and weighed against the relative chances of survival of mother and baby. But as long as neither mother nor baby are “devalued,” as long as one is not bigotedly viewed as “lesser” than the other and both are recognized as precious humans, which obligates the doctors to do their best to save both IF POSSIBLE, a failure to save both precious human lives is not a violation of Human Rights and there is no need to violate Human Rights by specifically legalizing the abortion-killing of humans in medical emergencies. It is simply a human tragedy when the doctors, despite their best efforts, are unable to save both; and it is tragic if in the course of saving the mother who had the best chance of survival, the doctors had to make the uncomfortable decision to do a medical procedure which (as a side effect not as the main intended effect) they knew the baby would not survive. This is a tragedy, not a “choice,” and certainly not a “right,” if there are any Human Rights at all.
Nothing could be more asinine and ridiculous than arguing that because doctors sometimes have to make the hard choice to save the precious mother not the precious baby when there is an unusually bad complication in a pregnancy, and an abortion or abortion-like procedure the precious baby will not survive occasionally has to be done only in order to save the precious mother, that somehow this precedent of a supposed “need” for abortion-killing to save another valuable human life in a rare “hard case” in any way justifies abortion-killing of precious humans in any case (the current “abortion-on-demand” in many countries). Any logical thinker would recognize this as a “non sequitur” — “it does not follow” that even if abortion-killing of one precious human life is occasionally, in a rare and extreme set of circumstances, necessary to save another precious human life, that therefore there is no Inherent Human Right to Live (as any legal abortion implies) and abortion should be legal for any reason. Yet this illogical application has become common, and wherever abortion is legally allowed “to save the mother” the precedent is always misused as “the thin edge of the wedge” to push for more and more cases where human-killing by abortion is legal, aiming towards the most ultimately democracy-destroying “abortion on demand.” The only sensible thing, once one is educated enough to know lasting Human Rights and Freedoms depend on the “Pro-Life” Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy, is to not make abortion legal in any circumstances, but merely acknowledge that sometimes a precious mother’s life can only be saved by a medical procedure that her precious baby will not survive (a procedure that surgeons confirm does not have to target the baby for death the way an abortion does at all — so there are no “medically necessary abortions”).
All of these three examples – (which have in fact been used to justify following the totalitarian Soviet and Nazi precedent of de-criminalizing abortion) – represent the strongest arguments usually presented for legal abortion. None of them have anything to do with facts or logic, but all are merely emotional appeals to genuinely sympathetic “hard cases” – and none of them can be logically applied to a general policy of legal abortion outside of the “hard cases” – nor even within the “hard case.” Of course we should have sympathy for the tiny percentage of women who suffer the violent crime of rape who become pregnant by this non-consensual sexual act (which usually does not result in pregnancy because it would have to happen to occur on the two days/month a woman can conceive, and as a violent act rape lacks the bio-chemical factors that enhance the chance of conception in a consensual sexual act). But does this mean we should eliminate the Inherent Human Right to Live and thus undermine democracy with “Creeping Totalitarianism” just because we legitimately feel sorry for a woman who is pregnant through no fault of her own and does not want to be? And why, logically, would we punish the innocent precious human child (who is just like each of us when we were his or her age), also conceived through no fault of his or her own. Human rights are for all humans or else they are meaningless. Only bigotry denies Human Rights to some humans, and it is the ultimate in bigotry to say this human child does not have Human Rights like all other humans do because of who his or her father is (I have met people who were conceived in rape, and I challenge any “Pro-Choice” bigot to look them in the eye and tell them they deserved the death penalty for their father’s crime of rape). As long as the “Pro-Life” facts and logic undergirding all Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms are kept in view, all the arguments for legal “Pro-Choice” abortion (and especially “abortion on demand”) stand out for how absurd and ridiculous they always were (and even if you did not know the “top 6 facts,” should not you have at least known that killing humans is wrong?).
If the “Pro-Choice” mindset had anything to do with logic and clear thinking, and any genuine compassion (which implies real love of humanity and democracy), then even if the emotional appeals in these sympathetic “hard cases” were granted legal abortions, there would be hardly any legal abortions performed, because a complication in pregnancy that seriously threatens the mother’s life and a rape that results in pregnancy despite the odds being against it for the above medical reasons are both exceedingly rare – and clear thinkers would recognize these as sympathetic exceptions to the necessary default rule of valuing all human life as precious because that is the foundation of our whole free and democratic way of life. But in fact the whole “Pro-Choice” mindset is ultimately selfish and evil and bigoted, denying Human Rights to some humans (which is the very essence of bigotry); denying that killing humans is wrong; and killing “inconvenient” humans like in any totalitarian State – which is why every single exception made for a legal abortion in a sympathetic “hard case” does not stay there but becomes the “thin edge of the wedge” driving towards “abortion on demand” (and driving “Creeping Totalitarianism” that slowly ends Democracy at the same time).
None of these three “hard cases” remotely logically justify de-criminalized ” abortion-on-demand” in every case (not just the hard cases), which for no logical reason is what they have been used to do in many countries. And all of these “hard cases” are easy to resolve once compared and contrasted with the facts and logic underlying Human Rights and democracy. Anyone with a functioning intellect can see that other solutions to the social problem of rape or of the poverty that makes some people criminally desperate in any way (whether to steal food or to kill their unwanted human babies) can surely be found other than the Pro-choice abortion “solution” of eradicating the Inherent Human Right to Live and dooming democracy to fail without its “Pro-Life” foundations. Anyone who is not mentally deficient can see that there is no reason to start the “thin edge of the wedge” of “Creeping Totalitarianism” by de-criminalizing abortion in medical emergencies when all that is necessary is to acknowledge that the death of either mother or baby due to a medical complication in pregnancy is a human tragedy, since every human without exception is precious, which is essential to the Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy. This is why the West generally understood since the 4th Century that killing humans is wrong. Period.
Side-by-side with even just the “top 6” historical facts which (together with the biological Science of Human Life) prove Pro-Life = Pro-Democracy (and Pro-Choice = “Creeping Totalitarianism), the “best” arguments for legal Abortion look weak and absurd, just like side-by-side with real minted money, the counterfeit looks fake. So we must not let mere emotional appeals to sympathetic hard cases cloud our logical judgement to the point that we can no longer honestly even say we believe “killing humans is wrong” because we believe abortion-killing of humans should be legal. Lasting Democracy depends on us not being so silly, not being so willfully unintelligent.
The “Pro-Choice” (“Pro-Choice-to-Kill-Humans”) Mindset’s Single Uncreative Default “Solution” to Human Problems is to Kill Humans (de-Decriminalizing Abortion and Euthanasia Just Like the Totalitarian Nazis Did); In Contrast the “Pro-Life” (Pro-Human-Right-to-Live”) Mindset Which Historically and Logically Undergirds All Human Rights and Freedoms Forces Imperfect Human Societies to Seek Creative Human-Life-Affirming Solutions to Complex Human Problems
The “Pro-Human-Right-to-Live” or “Pro-Life” mindset and traditional values not only undergird all Human Rights and Democracy so they can last long-term, but at the same time, when followed, they force people to seek and find ever better, more creative human life-affirming solutions to real, complex human and societal problems. In contrast, the “Pro-Choice” (that is, “Pro-Choice-to-Kill-Humans”) mindset is notoriously uncreative at the same time as ultimately totalitarian in how it seeks to solve human problems. To the “Pro-Choice” intellect the single default solution to complex human problems is to kill humans.
The problem: Some pregnancies (a tiny percentage) are not produced by consensual sex but by rape, leaving some women pregnant through no fault of their own when they do not wish to be. The uncreative “Pro-Choice” solution: let’s kill humans by abortion, eliminating any recognized Human Right to Live (whether they were produced by consensual sex or not, so that even more humans than those produced through rape can be legally killed).
The problem: When abortion was legally recognized as the crime of murder (because since 318 AD the West recognized killing humans is wrong and this is the foundation of all Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms), some women, for a great variety of reasons, some of them selfish and irresponsible and unsympathetic on their part, and some of them genuinely sympathetic factors of their overall situation which may include poverty or hardship or other challenges that converged to make them feel criminally desperate enough to murder their own unwanted human child, were tempted to end their pregnancy at the risk their own lives by committing the crime of murder on their human child through an illegal abortion which may be unsafe. Due to a lack of human-life-affirming social supports for the weak and a lack of appropriate sympathy where warranted for the criminally desperate, some women gave in to this criminal temptation to end human lives (which had been protected in the womb since the 4th Century so that modern Human Rights and Freedoms could develop), and some of the women who committed the crime of hiring someone to murder their human child in an illegal abortion were hurt or died in the course of committing their crime.
The (same) uncreative “Pro-Choice” solution to this complex problem: Let’s make it no longer a crime to kill humans and legally eradicate everyone’s Inherent Human Right to Live by de-criminalizing the abortion-killing of young humans, so that many, many more women, who are not at all criminally desperate, can easily and legally kill many, many more humans too.
The problem: Sometimes it’s not possible for medical science to save both the baby and the mother during rare extreme complications during pregnancy.
The (same) uncreative “Pro-Choice” solution to this problem: Let’s kill vast numbers of humans by legal abortion-on-demand even when there is no complication in pregnancy.
Since these three “hard cases” are the oldest and strongest arguments for legal abortion, and they are clearly seen to be absurdly ridiculous and anti-human next to just the “top 6 historical facts” and the cutting edge Science of Human Life which support the “Pro-Human-Right-to-Live” or “Pro-Life” position, there really is no way of escaping the conclusion that only someone intellectually deficient (or evil) could insist that the abortion-killing of humans is a real solution to anything, especially after being exposed to the undisputed historical and scientific facts logically connected in the Pledge (Democracy 101) and The Education Necessary to Preserve Democracy Now Under Attack, which powerfully demonstrate how absolutely necessary the traditional, “Pro-Life” Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy are to lasting Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms. Only someone profoundly unintelligent or selfish/evil would still try to get out of admitting that killing humans is wrong and therefore the abortion-killing of humans, the original 318 AD criminalization of which set the West on the path to Human Rights and Freedoms, should be re-criminalized for the sake of lasting Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms.
The “Pro-Choice” mindset which totally rejects the Inherent Human Right to Live and rejects the resulting governmental obligation to always protect precious human lives from harm (which is foundational to Democracy) also uses the same uncreative solution of killing humans as a way to “solve” human problems in other contexts, like euthanasia that insidiously reintroduces the government-sanctioned killing of born humans as well as preborn humans (like in any totalitarian State). The problem: some humans suffer various handicaps during their lives or suffer pain near the end of their lives. Once again the same uncreative and anti -human “Pro-Choice” mindset’s “solution” to these problems of human suffering is killing even more humans by legalizing euthanasia (instead of funding better access to cutting-edge medical palliative care to control pain while dying), and thus making doctors who perform euthanasia into killers against the most ancient and defining code of the medical profession; and in some jurisdictions forcing doctors to participate in this human-killing at least by “effective referral,” trampling the democratic freedom of conscience to not kill humans of doctors who object to de-criminalized euthanasia/”assisted suicide,” all so that born as well as preborn humans can be legally killed, like in any totalitarian State.
Legal Abortion and Euthanasia are the Approach of “Killing Not Caring”
In fact most of the arguments used to justify legal abortion or legal euthanasia / “assisted suicide” (which typically degenerates into killing humans for very many reasons including psychological not physical distress wherever euthanasia / “assisted suicide” has been de-criminalized) can be boiled down to an ultimately self-centered and anti-human approach of “killing not caring” which absolves people of the human responsibility to actually care for other humans long-term in their complex neediness by simply killing them instead and then never having to actually care for them again, a very short-sighted abdication of human responsibility which in its wake legally devalues EVERYBODY’S human lives by legally denying any Inherent Human Right to Live which the government must protect (which is the foundation of Democracy). The “Pro-Choice abortion (and logically following euthanasia)” mindset’s single uncreative solution to many complex human problems of poverty and suffering and crime is to kill humans instead of finding human life-affirming creative solutions which involve the human effort of lovingly engaging and being with precious human persons and treating them as valuable and WORTH the effort of (as individuals and as a society) trying to find better solutions to their human problems and difficulties (solutions which maintain the First Principles of Democracy which killing humans denies). The “Pro-Choice” mindset twists compassion for poverty and suffering into killing humans who might be poor or who might suffer so we do not have to use genuine compassion to actually engage ourselves in their human persons or their human problems.
Insubstantial Pro-Abortion “Smoke and Mirrors” – Less Pertinent Facts and Arguments That Merely Distract Focus from the Most Pertinent and Central Facts that Prove Undeniably that Abortion is Fundamentally a Human Rights Violation [New Rough Draft Section]
Other than mere emotional appeals to a few sympathetic “hard cases” illogically extended to general “abortion on demand” policy (while completely ignoring the most pertinent facts of Human Rights), the “Pro-Choice abortion” side has also typically relied on “smoke and mirrors” to distract people from the fundamental Human Rights violation that the abortion-killing of humans actually (and obviously) is, in order to convince people abortion is a good thing even though it kills humans (which since the 4th Century has been generally recognized as a bad thing). People should be embarrassed for being such sloppy thinkers (and so fundamentally anti-human) they did not realize that just knowing “killing humans is wrong” is enough to end the abortion debate, but the Pro-abortion side has always connived to distract people from dwelling on this simple fact. When I was younger, the Pro-abortion side did not even use the language of “Choice,” but focused on the “tissue blob” argument, that the preborn human baby was just a “tissue blob” of the mother and therefore could be aborted without violating Human Rights (this argument, based on antiquated science, was the main pro-Abortion approach when Abortion was de-criminalized in the USA and Canada and other countries, so it is unconscionable that legal Abortion policies formed on incorrect science still dominate in these countries). But when biological, medical science made such an argument completely outdated and ridiculously untenable (though you still find some who use it – the pro-Abortion side has never been big on facts or logic), instead of recanting to match the greater scientific knowledge about preborn human life they switched tactics to the “Pro-Choice” argument to distract attention away from the central Human Rights violation that is abortion (in their ignorance of history not realizing that the essence of their new “Pro-Choice” tactic is not new, only the name is new – and the parental “right to choose” to raise or kill one’s own children was an essential part of ancient totalitarianism that dominated the West only because human life was considered cheap not precious). Today they are still using “smoke and mirrors” to distract people from the undeniable core Human Right violation that is the abortion-killing of humans. The very notion that abortion is a matter of “reproductive rights” or “women’s rights” loses all its appeal as soon as one realizes that logically these rights can only exist instead of Human Rights, and that logically, wherever a woman’s “right to kill humans” she conceives trumps the human child’s Inherent Human Right to Live, that must logically mean there cannot be any Inherent Human Right to Live. All of us could have been legally killed by our mother’s Pro-Choice legal “right to kill humans” which means none of us have any legally recognized Inherent Human Right to Live. “Reproductive rights” or “women’s rights” only sound good at all until the intellect realizes these can only REPLACE GENUINE HUMAN RIGHTS and thereby undermine our whole free and democratic way of life that need the Inherent Human Right to Live in order to last.
Since History, Science and Logic All Overwhelmingly Support the “Pro-Human- Right-to-Live” or “Pro-Life” Position as Essential to BOTH the Historic Formation AND Lasting Future of Human Rights And Democratic Freedoms, People Who Hold the “Pro-Choice” (“Pro-Choice-to-Kill-Humans”) Position Only Do So Because They Are Either Uneducated/ Ignorant; Unintelligent; or Selfish/ Evil – And Their Response to This Pledge (Democracy 101) Will Reveal Which They Are [New Rough Draft Section]
So the facts of history, the biological science of human life, and clear, sound logic all support the “Pro-Life” position as not only being the only scientifically accurate way to regard human life, but also the only way to ensure lasting Human Rights and democratic freedoms for all humans (which additional realization I call “Pro-Life 2.0”). All the “Pro-Choice” (that is, “Pro-Choice-to-Kill-Humans”) side has are very poorly-thought-through emotional (and illogical) appeals to sympathy for a few “hard cases” which even if they were valid (which they are not) could never logically justify the currently typical legal “abortion-on-demand.” That and the “smoke and mirrors” of making people forget to consider the all-important issue of everyone’s legally recognized Inherent Human Right to Live without which Human Rights and Democracy could never have developed and cannot last, distracting people with lesser considerations of “choice” and “reproductive rights” which are actually the opposite of genuine freedom since they cancel the Inherent Human Right to Live without which there can be no genuine human freedoms.
Since history, science, and logic all support the “Pro-Life” position so strongly, leaving the “Pro-Choice abortion” side with nothing to support it other than the current political/legal enforcement of ultimately anti-human and anti-democratic “Pro-Choice” bullying policies like in any totalitarian State, it behooves all Pro-Choice voters and politicians to now GET EDUCATED in the history, science and logic underlying all Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms, now laid out for all to see in the The Pledge of Allegiance to Democracy and the treatise The Education Necessary to Preserve Democracy Now Under Attack, so they no longer follow shallow emotional appeals while ignorantly dismantling democracy bit by bit because of their lack of education.
The parts of this Pledge and this Introduction to it (and the treatise they are based on) are only second draft or first draft (some parts quite rough), and their weaknesses will be improved in later drafts through further consultations with other scholars. But already, no serious objection to either the facts or the logic of my presentation that somehow shifts the facts in general to supporting current abortion laws can possibly be made. Those who disagree with this presentation and want to keep Abortion legal can only say they disagree because they do not WANT to agree, since they cannot seriously fault either the facts or the logic – and in their not wanting to agree that killing humans is wrong even in the face of such compelling facts and logic they identify themselves as much more likely selfish/evil rather than merely ignorant/uneducated, which are the only two possibilities for anyone who is “Pro-Choice” (which undeniably means “Pro-Choice-you-Kill-Humans). Short of burning all the libraries and pretending the facts are not the facts (and short of lobotomizing the populace so they cannot follow the logic), all unswayable “Pro-Choicers” can say to counter the Pledge is that they do not LIKE the facts that abortion is ancient and always logically associated with totalitarianism; that they do not LIKE the facts that the modern de-criminalization of abortion started with Totalitarian Soviet Russia and totalitarian Nazi Germany (confirming how consistently legal abortion and totalitarianism go together); that they do not LIKE the facts that legal abortion was explicitly condemned by the Free West as a “crime against humanity,” at Nuremberg, the same year the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was produced to help make sure condemned Nazi atrocities (including legal abortion) never ever again denied human rights to some humans (as abortion obviously does); that they do not LIKE the facts of the Science of Human Life; that (since they cannot be swayed by either facts or logic) they personally would RATHER continue the current anti-human and democracy-destroying policies of “abortion-on-demand” for their personal convenience or profit (if they are one of the many who profit from the big-money Abortion Industry which like the Slave Trade before it profits highly from denying human rights to some humans), even though the cost of their convenience is everybody’s Inherent Human Right to Live and Democracy that lasts for everybody. “Pro-Choicers” who remain “Pro-Choicers” after being exposed to the Pledge simply do not LIKE how weak their position is, even though all they have to support their position is a few emotional appeals to “hard cases” which cannot logically justify current abortion law – and political support from governments just as ignorant of democracy’s foundations as they are, which for that reason are becoming increasingly totalitarian governments and in the long run will eventually take away their human rights and freedoms too, if “Pro-Choicers” remain uneducated in where Human Rights come from and keep supporting ultimately anti-democratic “Creeping Totalitarian” policies like de-criminalized abortion and euthanasia which deny killing humans is wrong just like in any totalitarian State.
“Pro-Choicers” from now on have to try being informed and intelligent and logical, and not just opinionated. When they do not have a good answer to a “Pro-Lifer’s” defence of Human Rights for all Humans, including preborn humans, “Pro-Choicers” will often say, “well that’s YOUR opinion” – that preborn human babies have the same Human Rights as other humans do – as if the difference between “Pro-Life” and “Pro-Choice” is just a matter of opinion, and as if their “Pro-Choice” opinion that preborn humans have no Human Rights is on more or less equal footing with the “Pro-Life” opinion that Human Rights are for all humans (“Without distinction of any kind,” as Article 2 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights says). But nothing could be further from the truth.
To “Pro-Choicers” I can boldly say (emboldened by the necessity of boldly countering ever-bolder advances of Pro-Choice anti-democratic “Creeping Totalitarianism” where I live) that my “Pro-Life” (that is, “Pro-Human-Right-to-Live”) opinion is a scholarly, educated opinion backed up by consistent history, science and logic. Your “Pro-Choice ” (that is, “Pro-Choice-to -Kill-Humans”) opinion is marked by a distinctly ignorant lack of knowledge of the most pertinent historical and scientific facts underlying Human Rights and Freedoms (such as the “top 6” facts above), and backed up mainly by the usual Pro-Choice emotional appeals in a few sympathetic hard cases senselessly and illogically applied as a general abortion-on-demand policy that in fact eliminates any legally recognized Inherent Human Right to Live, all because you are too uneducated to know that killing humans is wrong and the Inherent Human Right to Live is the historical and logical foundation of all Human Rights and Democracy.
So now when I hear “Pro-Choicers” defending their position, no matter what they say I can usually respond, “so – you’re telling me your whole “Pro-Choice” position is based on ignorance.” What I hear you saying is, you are uneducated in where Human Rights and freedoms come from, and so your whole “Pro-Choice” position is based on ignorance- you do not even know the “top 6” most pertinent facts about the origins and maintenance of human rights, but you are willing to ignorantly and blithely follow the evil Soviet and Nazi precedent of cancelling out the Inherent Human Right to Live for everybody with de-criminalized abortion, because you are just too uneducated to know our human rights and freedoms began with the criminalization of abortion in 318 AD because the West then learned, but somehow YOU did not learn, that killing humans is wrong. Shame on you for staying ignorant so long! But realize, now you have been exposed to Democracy 101, this is your last chance to claim you were only uneducated and ignorant, and not evil and totalitarian-oriented. If you now refuse to be educated, and still insist that abortion should be legal, what you are really saying is that you have been too ignorant and uneducated to know any better and you are still too selfishly evil to get educated. You are saying that because you do not even know the Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy (and you care too much for your own selfish convenience to care to learn Democracy’s foundations for the long-term safety of all humanity), you are content with current policies like legal abortion which deny and undermine these foundations. Ignorance really is bliss. It is also dangerous. That is what you get by arguing with feelings instead of facts or logic.
The facts and logic supporting all human rights and freedoms are now laid out (culled from the great morass of historical details) for all to see easily; so if “Pro-Choicers” want to continue to be “Pro-Choice,” they must try being intelligent enough to build a solid argument, not just one which appeals to emotions (as when one feels sympathy for the plights of a few “hard cases,” and so want to ease their burden – but without even trying to think it through from first principles, that by decriminalizing abortion for these primarily emotional reasons, they eradicate the historical and logical foundations of democracy for everyone – such ridiculous results is what you get by arguing with feelings instead of facts and logic (or confusing things by using recent and less pertinent facts without grounding them in the foundational facts underlying and undergirding all Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms).
In my country, the officially “Pro-Choice-to-Kill-Humans” political parties (who have forgotten their own parties’ roots, which all used to assume traditional democratic values of every human without exception being precious when our modern democracies were formed), are talking about supporting a “worldwide abortion fund” (introduced by other countries) with taxpayer’s money, to make up for the fact that the USA under the direction of its new President Donald Trump is no longer using American taxpayers’ money to support the abortion-killing of humans worldwide. In the democratic light of the treatise The Education Necessary to Preserve Democracy Now Under Attack and The Pledge of Allegiance to Democracy (Democracy 101), these “Pro-Choice-to-Kill-Humans” attitudes and policies are clearly revealed as grossly anti-democratic and totalitarian, and all of the politicians or voters/taxpayers who support this initiative are clearly revealed as uneducated, ignorant, “totalitarian creeps” who have no idea where Human Rights and Democracy come from and have made themselves enemies of lasting democracy (though hopefully most of them only because they are ignorant, and not actually evil, though their response to The Pledge of Allegiance to Democracy (Democracy 101) will reveal which of the two they are. If they are only ignorant, once educated, they will recant their “Pro-Choice-to-Kill-Humans” unwitting “Creeping Totalitarianism.” If they are selfish, self-serving, and evil, they will remain staunchly “Pro-Choice” – which they might also do if they are perhaps too mentally deficient to follow the clear logic of the Pledge, that of course the traditional “Pro-Life” values they were built on guarantee lasting Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms far better than possible for the “Pro-Choice right to kill humans” mindset and values which share with every totalitarian State the conviction that there is no Inherent Human Right to Live which the government is always obligated to protect, and which in historical fact follow the precedent of the totalitarian Soviet and Nazi States which were the first in history to de-criminalize abortion).
Especially considering that most of the poor developing countries which would “benefit” from such a human-killing fund do not traditionally support abortion, this attitude and this plan for a “worldwide abortion fund” is clearly revealed in the light of the Pledge (Democracy 101) as insidious “Creeping Totalitarianism breeding more Creeping Totalitarianism.” What could be more totalitarian than Western countries steeped for decades in ultimately anti-democratic “Pro-Choice-to-Kill-Humans” “Creeping Totalitarianism” effectively telling poor developing countries who still believe in the traditional, democracy-grounding values that killing humans is wrong, “we will help pay for your medical needs on the condition that you give up your democracy-grounding “Pro-Human-Right-to-Live” values and adopt our anti-traditional, “Pro-Choice-to-Kill-Humans” values so your poor countries can join the ranks of “Creeping Totalitarian” countries” with the help of taxpayer’s money from the rich countries already infected with “Creeping Totalitarianism” because we no longer legally recognize the Inherent Human Right to Live since we de-criminalized abortion.” That is effectively what the “First world” is offering the “Third World” with this new “worldwide abortion fund” to replace former President Obama’s similar shameful “economic help on the condition your poor country sells its democratic soul by denying that killing humans is wrong by de-criminalizing the abortion-killing of young humans.” In the light of all the undisputed historical and scientific facts connected by clear, sound logic and laid out in the Pledge (Democracy 101), all abortion supporters of this initiative are clearly identifying themselves as woefully uneducated, ignorant, “totalitarian creeps” who are so far removed from the educated mindset necessary for genuine and lasting democracy that they are actually spreading “Creeping Totalitarianism” worldwide, actively trying to convince countries that still believe in the traditional Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy to abandon their democracy-grounding values in exchange for economic aid from rich “Creeping Totalitarian” States who are heading steadily towards the dissolution of their democracies just like Nazi Germany whose precedent they followed when they de-criminalized abortion (and euthanasia).
The future of the “Free West” is in the Hands of Either the Educated “Democracy Pledgers” or in the Hands of the Uneducated and Ignorant “Totalitarian Creeps” [New Rough Draft Section]
Western democracy, religious freedom and Human Rights are currently under serious threat due to lack of education in their foundations. This is literally even threatening more and more human lives as Western governments (like all totalitarian States ancient and modern) slowly return to the habit of legislating which human lives can be killed, when and how, instead of recognizing the government as always obligated to protect and serve always-precious human lives. A notable group of newly threatened humans are the handicapped now threatened in more and more jurisdictions by legal euthanasia, as they were in Nazi Germany, which also first introduced legal euthanasia “only to those who asked for it,” also on the initial claim of “reducing suffering” – a surface excuse to hide the bigotry that handicapped human lives (and any of us can suddenly become handicapped) are “lesser” and “ not worth living,” and history – including recent history in European nations with legalized euthanasia – show the initial option to euthanize progresses logically to pressure to euthanize and logically ends in obligation to euthanize those “imperfect” handicapped humans whose lives are “lesser” than healthy humans and ultimately “not worth living,” or at least “not worth” the medical cost of caring for their extra needs long-term, since money is once again more valuable than humans wherever humans do not even have a legally recognized Inherent Human Right to Live because abortion is legal (see Articles 8-11 of the Pledge).
Our Western democracies are currently undergoing such a terrible trend of “Creeping Totalitarianism” threatening human lives, religious freedom, and Democracy itself because, due to ignorance of democracy’s underlying foundations because they were laid so very long ago, Western societal values, mindset, worldview and habits for decades now have been changing in ways that no longer support and uphold the Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy the way TRADITIONAL Western societal values, mindset, worldview and habits did simply because the traditional ways were actually historically and logically BUILT on the Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy, which were at least implicitly assumed at the founding of all modern democracies and all founding political parties of both “left” and “right.”
So now the future of the “Free West” is in the hands of either the educated “Democracy Pledgers” or else it is in the hands of the uneducated and ignorant “totalitarian creeps.” If you care about Democracy and Human Rights at all, you need to make sure you fall into the category of the educated who will stand up in Solidarity for the Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy. Unfortunately, worldwide right now the majority of those making government policy are “totalitarian creeps” (or traditional people so bullied or so confused by the totalitarian creeps for decades that they think they cannot oppose the current “Pro-Choice-to-Kill-Humans” fundamentally anti-democratic “Creeping Totalitarianism” and go along with it even if they are uncomfortable with it – because they too are uneducated in the fact their traditional inclinations are actually democracy-grounding inclinations). But I believe most of both the “creeps” and those who let them get away with dismantling democracy from its foundations are just uneducated, and not so self-centered as to be evil. Probably through no fault of their own, they are just so woefully uneducated in the long history of the Western Civilization they live in (and the science of the biological human life they possess) that they really just DO NOT KNOW where their Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms come from, just because their foundations were laid so long ago no-one remembers what is most vital for them to continue. The Pledge and the treatise and the Manifesto will test whether they are just ignorant or evil, but there is reason for great hope that most Pro-Choice/anti-democratic “totalitarian creeps” will respond to this “education necessary to preserve democracy now under attack,” now that it is available, by receiving the necessary education to preserve democracy and changing their ways.
It is certain that some will be staunch and stubborn in their “Pro-Choice” ignorance of the Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy (especially those who profit in some way from the big-money Abortion Industry which like the Slave Trade before it profits greatly from denying Human Rights to some humans). However, despite these, government policies will be changed anyway so that Human Rights and Freedoms can last as long as most of the huge majority “in the middle” become educated. This is because there are only some really ardent “Pro-Choicers,” and in my experience these most ardent tend to be of very low quality citizens as far as their contributions to a healthy democratic society goes. The most ardent and dedicated “Pro-Choicers” tend to be either
- 1) those who never “grew up” to develop a mature practice of human sexuality; those most immature and irresponsible in their use of nature’s precious-human-life-producing human sexuality, who use legal abortion as “backup contraception” for immature and irresponsible sexual behavior (you only have to look at the small band of counter-protest hecklers at major Pro-Life events with tens of thousands of Pro-Lifers to find these); or else truly ardent “Pro-Choicers” tend to be
- 2) those who profit in some way from the big-money Abortion Industry (which like the Slave Trade before it profited highly from denying Human Rights to some humans); such as the doctors and others who work at the abortion clinics or those who work in the industries which buy killed human baby corpses and body parts from the abortion clinics for products and research and development of products; including all who work directly with the dismembered human baby parts and actually do not have the gross ignorance of what abortion really is which most abortion supporters do, and yet they are still fine with making money by legally devaluing and killing humans in the millions (recalling the Nazis who similarly experimented with making products from the millions of devalued Jewish human corpses they killed, although thankfully their regime ended before they had time to make a big-money industry like the abortion industry out of this practice).
So there are relatively few truly ardent “Pro-Choicers,” compared to the greater and growing number of ardent “Pro-Lifers,” but still today the majority of citizens may “lean” one way or the other but are neither ardently “Pro-Life” nor “Pro-Choice” – and the long maintenance of the current status quo of legal abortion is based mainly on this majority “in the middle.” Many who identify themselves as “Pro-Choice” would never have an abortion themselves and never counsel anyone to have one, but have simply been fooled by the insubstantial “Pro-Choice” rhetoric which makes it sounds like “Pro-Choice” has something to do with freedom even though it is the philosophical position most against human freedom (and most supportive of totalitarian government) since ancient times. Many who identify themselves as “Pro-Life” have been similarly fooled into thinking that although they agree it is wrong to kill humans you just cannot stop people from having the “choice” in a democracy (not realizing that lasting democracy needs to hold its citizens accountable to the Pro-Life Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy or else Democracy is doomed). Unfortunately, in this way many have been fooled into believing “Pro-Choice” abortion (whether they like it or not) cannot be opposed just because on the surface (only) “choice” sounds like it has to do with “freedom,” and so even those who dislike abortion frequently just do not recognize it as the single greatest threat to genuine and lasting human freedom, because it legally eliminates even the Inherent Human Right to Live.
But once this majority in the middle leaning one way or the other finally get “the education necessary to preserve democracy now under attack” (through the growing number of educated “New Abolitionist” “Democracy Pledgers” implementing the original Abolitionists strategy of educated the electorate of voting citizens from the grassroots up in the HUMAN EQUALITY which is the historic ground of Democracy, the politicians will eventually listen to them if they want to be voted for and the current democracy-destroying policies will finally be changed. And any “Pro-Choicers” who are tempted to engage in grassroots or government opposition to measures to educate the populace of any compromised democracy in undisputed scientific, medical and historical facts about human life and Human Rights (such as those in the Pledge and the treatise) can be fairly labelled “totalitarian creeps” to shame them into doing the right thing for all humanity.
“Pro-Choice” politicians (and voters) cannot reasonably fault either the facts or the logic used in the Pledge and the treatise it is based on in any serious way, so to remain “Pro-Choice” they can only keep pretending the facts and the logic that ultimately gave us Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms do not exist (or burn all the libraries to erase the facts and history of Western Civilization and Western Thought), while trying to distract voters from the key facts and logic underlying our whole free and democratic way of life with less pertinent facts and arguments. But from now on, in doing either, “Pro-Choice” politicians will display themselves as uneducated and ignorant at best, and evil and totalitarian at worst, to anybody who is educated in where Human Rights and Freedoms actually, historically and logically come from. And there will be more and more such educated citizen voters from now on, standing up together in Solidarity to defend democracy from “Creeping Totalitarianism” until it ends (like the Polish Solidarity movement undermined full-blown Soviet totalitarianism until it ended). Politicians and political parties will do whatever they think will get them elected. As there come to be more and more educated “Democracy Pledgers” in the electorates of our compromised democracies, most ardently opposed only by the most obviously ignorant and uneducated or unthinking, illogical and self-serving “totalitarian creeps,” the political parties will eventually come to realize that “what will get them elected” (as well as what will make Democracy last) is to get back to their party’s roots if they have strayed – roots which at least implicitly recognized the essentially “Pro-Life” Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy when our modern democracies were formed – and so field so-called “Pro-Life” candidates for election to political office (that is, candidates who believe in and uphold the Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy), because educated voters know that (whatever a candidate’s other strengths are) only these are qualified to lead any lasting democracy.
There is no Democracy without Human Rights, and there are no Human Rights without the historical and logical Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy, described in detail in Articles 1-5 of the Pledge, which in today’s terms are essentially “Pro-Life.” While some “Pro-Choice” politicians are merely ignorant (and will change their ways once educated), it is easy to identify the real (usually ardently “Pro-Choice”) “totalitarian creeps” in governments, because not only do they deny the Inherent Human Right to Live (the foundation of Democracy) by ardently supporting the legal abortion-killing of humans (instituted in modern times by the totalitarian Soviets and Nazis), but (whatever they say) their actions show they do not actually want an educated, critically-thinking population who are politically, democratically active and guarding their democratic freedoms from their (“Pro-Life”) Foundations. The “totalitarian creeps” in governments want a population they can control, a population that pretty much just follows whatever the government leads (even when it introduces radical new policies against traditional, democracy-grounding values, without any democratic mandate to do so); the “totalitarian creeps” want to control a populace like sheep, where most do not even vote and those who do are ignorant of Democracy’s foundations enough to be easily manipulated into voting for them even though they manifestly do not believe in or uphold the traditional Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy – which are “Pro-Life” (just like Hitler’s Nazi Party who were voted into power by an ignorant electorate even though the Nazis, like “Pro-Choicers,” also manifestly did not believe every human without exception is supremely and EQUALLY precious). But an electorate educated in the historical and logical Foundational Principles of Human Rights and Democracy will keep the politicians genuinely democratic if they want educated citizens to vote for them (literally anybody can get uneducated citizens to vote for them, like Hitler did). The (below) Pledge of Allegiance to Democracy (and the Antidote to Any Degree of “Creeping Totalitarianism”) (alternatively called Democracy 101 because it is a “crash course” in what Democracy is built on and needs to last) is the easiest way to spread “the education necessary to preserve Democracy now under attack” so we can weather the current storms of “Creeping Totalitarianism” (no longer just ‘creeping’ where this author lives) and preserve genuine Human Rights and Democratic Freedoms for our children, grandchildren and beyond.

 The first quoted phrase is from Article 2; the second quoted phrase is from the very first sentence of the Preamble of The 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Despite the unfortunate wording of Article 1 which reads “All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights,” there is no reasonable nor legitimate way to interpret the whole text of the Universal Declaration, especially not in its 1948 historical context, as if it intended to exclude preborn humans from having any human rights so they could be legally aborted; if it did, it would mean human rights are neither “inherent,” “equal,” nor “inalienable” after all, and the whole Declaration is meaningless. It would absurdly mean preborn humans are somehow NOT members of the “human family” that has “inalienable rights,” and therefore none of us have “inherent” nor “inalienable” rights, since all of us started our human lives as preborn humans who could be legally killed by abortion. Article 23 of The Pledge of Allegiance to Democracy (and the Antidote to Any Degree of “Creeping Totalitarianism”) discusses in more detail how de-criminalized abortion is a betrayal of everything the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights intended to accomplish to protect humanity from totalitarianism for the long-term.
